Summary: I wanted a monitor that is not the wide screen format, as it is not the best for newspaper layout which is what we do. This older format is way better. I ordered 2. The monitors arrived, on broken screen, the other mangled stand. The vendor did a very poor packing job to say the least. I managed to take the stand off the broken screen unit (it was still a bit bent) and put it on the other one so I had one working unit.
Summary: An excellent monitor if you want an older 4:3 aspect ratio monitor. With 1600 x 1200 resolution you will have trouble finding a reasonable cost monitor with higher resolution. I bought mine used for just over $100 and it came in close to new condition so I feel I got quite a bargain when compaed to the list price for NOS ones. This is replacing an old Dell/Sony 19" similar resolution Trinitron CRT monitor.
Summary: I am an IT consultant, and I like this monitor so much, I have now bought close to 30 of them. Six for personal use. The two issues I have had with most monitors in portrait mode is that they either seemed too tall, or not wide enough. This monitor solves both of those problems. The resolution of 1600x1200 means that you get a width of 1200 pixels in portrait mode which I find is wide enough.

Summary: There aren't very many 4:3 monitors out there any more, but some of us have desks that won't accommodate wide screens. This is a really lovely monitor, a little short on documentation as mentioned previously, but quite easy to set up. Five stars!
