Excerpt: I used to have a pair of these before I switched to Cinema displays. When calibrated using a Spyder, results were very even and colors excellent. Light bleeding through is always a problem with the cheaper screens, but even the much more expensive Cinemas do that so maybe it's something that LCDs do... I know my old CRTs didn't do that, but hey, progress, right? ;) The U2412 is a very good screen esp at this price.
Pros: Accurate Colors, Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Sharp Image
Excerpt: These are great monitors and we have chosen to attach these to the wall to view multipl websites. I have 14 of them hanging right next to each other and they look great. The picture is good and the viewing angle allows us to be off to the side and still see the image just fine. Nothing bad to say.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Excerpt: The B&H folks were 1000% more knowledgeable than those from Dell on Dell's product! I got better pricing and better tech support through B&H.. The monitor is excellent, it is huge and very clear.. While using the Thunderbolt Port or mini display, the performance is incredible.. It is light for its size.. I was so happy with it, I bought a second one.. the only thing is that the external video card I had to use for it, makes a bit laggy.. but great image non the less...
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Summary: I had two 16:10 LG monitors and at 9 months one went south. LG quit making them so they are issuing a refund. LG's customer service to this point is excellent btw. So, I ended up here looking for another comparable monitor for my dual monitor setup. In the price range it boils down to this Dell model and an Asus. If you are looking at these you will know which Asus I am speaking of. I read and researched forever it seemed and came up with two options.
Summary: I have two of these monitors, one in the office and one at home and I love them. I decided to add a second to each location, starting with home. I set the new one up next to the existing one and noticed the color was completely different. I spent the next hour messing with the colors and configurations to get it to be the same as my existing (very sharp) monitor but alas, couldn't.
Excerpt: I bought this to replace an old/tiny monitor on my desk. The resolution looks great and it was no effort to get it up and running. This is a great monitor and I think I got a great piece for what I spent.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Excerpt: PRO - It works fine. I like the monitor's ratio (H x W x H). It can handle 2 Word Docs side by side. Turn the monitor 90° and you'll be happy you bought it : it's great for toll spreadsheet! The vertical view is very simple: with Mac OS 10.6 and 10.8, go to "Display" / "Rotation" et voilá, all done. USB - It has two USBs on the left side. It is great with USB Flash Drives.
