Summary: i had got 1 with my alienware and it was great. i had no issues and it is great. i not only use it to game but i also read large articles. i just turn it to portait mode and switch it in the settings. i really like this monitor and it is great i am soon getting a second 1 and 3 words......good job Dell.
Summary: This is a review based on my experiences between the Asus PA248Q and the Dell 2412M monitors. I am focusing on the aspects that no specs webpage will tell you. Introduction: I started out with two Asus PA248Q monitors. One fell victim of the known flickering issue, so I returned it and paired it with a Dell U2412M with the intention of using both. However, I am now returning the Asus PA248Q mainly because I discovered that it has more input lag than the Dell.
Excerpt: After reading some of the bad reviews, I think I'm fortunate to have receive a good one. There are no dead pixals or light bleed. I used the MS Paint method, where you use the paint bucket and do an entire screen of black. Then select View> Full screen. Everything is clean and crisp. The colors right out of the box were great. Viewing angles were as described. I really like how the stand can go up and down without effort. Good job on B&H's part for boxing it up nicely.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sharp Image
Pros: I have three of these between work and home and just bought my fourth. Loved them. Great size, stand is fantastic, good color and viewing angles.
Cons: Old model being shipping. They are now shipping Revision A00. What's up with that? They are distinctly yellow - especially when looking at whites and grays. It's impossible to use next to my others which are Rev A03.
Excerpt: I love this monitor. I urge you to buy one. The brightness and clarity is ridiculously good, and the glare protection is top-notch. If all you've had before is standard TN panel monitors at 1080p, stepping up to an IPS panel @ 1920x1200 will open your eyes to a whole new way to see computer monitors. The only issue I had (and why I took off one star) is that I have two of these, one purchased elsewhere, and this one did not match the color out of the box of my other one.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Excerpt: I use this monitor for color balancing and color management for my photography. It is very sharp and calibrates perfectly with a display calibration sensor. It is the perfect size for my workspace. It is now a real pleasure to work on imagery in photoshop because I can rely on the colors being correct.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
