"Great monitor. Excellent clarity and colors."

RedFury28, CNET
23 June 2012
 • Pros: - amazing colors! - 1920 x 1200 resolution is perfect for me. - portrait mode by swivelling the monitor if needed. - Wide screen monitor is perfect for movies and games. - Ergonomics - led backlight saves on energy - great looking monitor
 • Cons: - Expensive monitor unless you get it on sale. - For the price you could get a 27 inch regular (non ips) monitor from samsung or lg. Although I doubt it would have picture like this.

Dead Pixels

JohnFL, Dell
13 June 2012
 • Summary: My new U2412M had 3 dead pixels, so I call Dell support and they send me a refurbished U2412M with a burnt out left side. After emailing pics, Dell support sent me a brand new U2412M and it has 1 dead pixel. After the hassle of returning 2 U2412M monitors and getting a third with a dead pixel, I can't rate this monitor more than 1 star.

Simple the "BEST" monitors

DayTrade, Dell
13 June 2012
 • Summary: I've being using dell monitors for the last 14 years. I just handed down my previous 20in LCD Ultrasharp to my kids. The old monitor looks as great as the first day and much better than newer versions from non-dell brands.

lots of pixels, great panel, adjustable

Alexey, B&H Photo
31 May 2012
 • Excerpt: I have two of these in a dual-monitor setup that rivals the $ + 30" 2560x1600 panels. Yep, the colors on these things are that good, and the pixels per dollar are a pretty good value.1920x1200 is the highest I can go with HDMI (using an HDMI->DVI) cable on my netbook, so that's another argument in favor of smaller, cheaper panels for a workspace.I definitely get some of mileage out of the height adjustability (better ergonomics).
 • Pros: 16 10 aspect ratio, Adjustable height, Great picture quality, Lots of pixels
