Summary: Sharp, vibrant colors, bright, 1900x1200, great looking monitor. I don't see the "dirty monitor" look that one of the reviews here mentions. I personally prefer like the matt finish of Dell screens over the shiny finish, so perhaps it is a matter of personal preference. I used my 17 inch Dell monitor for 8 years with no complaints, and I see myself using this monitor for a long time as well.
Summary: Combine the IPS panel (which DOES make a difference) with the 1900x1200 resolution, and the cost of entry, and you have the makings of a great value. No "ghosting" for games (contrary to what some would have you believe), and the image quality is fantastic. The only negative I have for it is the obvious- the lack of an HDMI connection. I happened to not be using HDMI anyway, so this monitor worked for me.
Summary: I bought an Ultra Sharp moniter and another moniter that was slightly cheaper so I could dual moniter and when you compare side by side, the Ultra Sharp blows the other one out of the water. Great sharpness and quality!
Summary: I have two of these at work side by side. Prices have really come down over the years. My only beef is that I have not been able to configure it to be a second monitor for my Dell Laptop especially when logged in to GoToMyPC. Still waiting for my IT folks to tell me how to do this.
Summary: Very big. I didn't think 24" would be so big but it has a lot of real estate because of it! Perfect monitor after calibration. The colors are exceptional and the view angles are very good. Very worth the price if you want to spend a little extra money.
Summary: The monitor looks really elegant, the control panel is great, the stand is excellent, and is by far the best value in ips panels. It doesn't look as good as the more expensive IPS panels on the market, but it is leaps and bounds beyond TN monitors. Only problem, but a very minor one, is that It does have some light leak issues, but it is MINIMAL and totally unnoticeable unless you are looking for it.
"Coating creates sparkling look - not good for office"
23 February 2012
Pros: ISP panel plus 16:10 aspect ratio.
Cons: The anti glare coating gives the monitor a sparkling look. This is especially annoying when reading text. I run this monitor next to a 27 inch imac. The low picture quality of the Dell monitor becomes particularly apparent in such a setting.
Summary: Horrible monitor - I run this monitor as a second monitor on a 27 inch iMac. The coating gives the monitor a sparkle like look. All in all the monitor really is not worth the $300 that I paid for it. I use much cheaper but much better quality LG monitors at work.
