Summary: I purchased two of them and I tried very hard to get their colors to match, but after a week I gave up and replaced one of them. The problem was that one had a blue tint and the other a purple tint. On a white background this was very visible. I returned the purple tint one because I assumed that on the color gradient option 10,000K should have a blue tint, not deep purple. Amazon is amazing at customer service!
Summary: I bought this monitor for as m primary monitor for Digital Painting. I was looking for a large workspace with excellent color reproduction. No issues here. The 6:10 aspect ratio was a good choice for maximizing the screen space at maximum resolution. Edge to edge the color reproduction is the best I've seen in this price range.
Summary: A few weeks ago, I was shopping for a new computer with Windows 7 installed (since I abhor Windows 8 on a desktop PC). I'd planned to buy another HP computer until I came across an offer from Dell for an XPS 8500 and a Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24" monitor for around $945 and free shipping. This was at least $50 less than a comparable HP PC without a monitor.
Summary: No more scrolling left or right to read stuff. The sharpness of picture is really amazing, photos and videos are high def. Should have bought this sooner it really makes everything more enjoyable especially the XPS 8500
Summary: I got this monitor a few days ago and I have to say it's quite nice. The viewing angles are much nicer than my old TN panel and the colors are excellent. The screen is nice and large, I have to say that 16:10 makes a very noticeable difference from 16:9. I've noticed no major ghosting while gaming and based on reviews this is a very fast refreshing monitor.
Summary: The monitor arrived right on time, set up was way easy. Anyone who complains about getting one and not having an HDMI port obviously can not read. Check the specs of the product you are about to buy, and become an informed consumer. PRO'S: Very bright and crisp image, so much room! refresh rate is more that adequate for gaming, have had no issues playing Borderlands 2 at 60+ FPS. Stand is well built with plenty of adjustment.
Summary: The quality of the display is great. It absolutely blows away my well-made ASUS TN monitor in side by side comparison. Color and contrast are excellent. Like most monitors, ships way too light. Adjust brightness way down unless your monitor is directly in line with the sun. No HDMI, which has prevented me from buying a second in my dual monitor configuration. I can't connect my PS3 (HDMI to displayport can not be accomplished with a passive device.
Summary: I bought these in order to go vertical with my setup -- Portrait Mode. And they don't disappoint. The viewing angle is indeed admirably wide both horizontally and vertically, so unlike some monitors, Portrait Mode doesn't cause problems if you look at the displays at any sort of angle. Colors are vibrant, though too blue for my taste. Easily rectified -- I just turned the blue down to 90% and all seems excellent.
Summary: Coming from TN panels, I was really impressed with this monitor. Considering that it's a eips instead of the other. I used to game on 3 TN panels on eyefinity portrait and I thought that was amazing. I decided to upgrade because the horrible viewing angle. So, I bought 3 of these bad boys for eyefinity portrait. At first I was a bit skeptical about it being an IPS panel that stuck with 60hz refresh rate and 8ms would be bad for fps. That's not the case.
