Dell is currently shipping A00 revisions instead of A06
12 April 2013
Summary: I bought one of these in Summer 2012; its manufacture date is July 2012 and it's an A05 revision. I bought one last week (April 2013) and it's an A00 revision made in December 2012. Which means Dell has parts lying around from the ORIGINAL revision and is now shipping those. This is a problem, because the A00 revision is known to have a serious yellow tint issues. Putting the two monitors side by side the new one is noticeably yellow.
Summary: I ordered this monitor through Dell directly and received what looked like a refurb or used unit. The monitor had permenant scuff marks and scratches on the display and also 2 clusters of dead pixels near the center of the screen where it looks as if something like a small pair of scissors had literally punctured it. You can even see these "puncture wounds" with the monitor off.
Summary: I purchased this monitor on the basis of some very positive reviews - I can't confirm or deny those reviews as it was broken straight out of the box (Screen only stayed on for a few seconds at a time). After trying several PCs, read the emanual and searching the web, I finally turned to Dell for support - the experience was not particularly pleasant or fast and was eventually told they wouldn't help me (or even try to troubleshoot) as Amazon placed the order and they...
