Summary: The item pictured here is the same model that came with my tower. Which has a VGA and a HDMI port and has the 16:9 ratio. The monitor received was similar in looks, it was all black though. There was no HDMI port on the monitor and the monitors highest resolution was 1400 something, NOT 16:9. Even though it works for what I need it was a disapointment.
Worked very well for the first year, then went dark.

Summary: I purchased this monitor at Best Buy in mid 2010. It worked wonderfully, with no trouble at all for an entire year and a few months. Then it started to flicker and then the screen went very dark, as if a light bulb went out(which may be the case, since this has only two lights, whereas most others have four). It is now permanently dark and only flickers if it is on for long minutes.
Summary: I purchased a Dell Flat Panel computer monitor model # ST2010B in April of 2011. Today when I looked at the monitor I noticed that the screen was dark and unable to be read. I tried to adjust the brightness/contrast/color settings to no avail. When I hooked up the monitor from my other computer, the monitor worked fine. I tried to hook up the Dell monitor on another computer and it still did not work.
Summary: Let me just say that this monitor is absolute junk. I only hope someone who is considering purchasing this monitor or anything else with the dell logo on it strongly reconsiders and thinks of the old saying "you get what you pay for." I bought a dell computer about a 15 months ago and it came with the 1 year standard warranty. Well 11 months in my monitor started to flicker then about 2 days later the monitor goes so dark that it is hardly readable.
Summary: I purchased and returned after discovering that there is no sound when connected via HDMI. There is no audio out connection (despite the spec claim on Dell's site - there is no audio out on the user guide) that I could find on the monitor. The only way to get sound is to purchase a Dell sound bar that provides speakers and an audio out. I returned this and for a few dollars more, I purchased a Samsung that is larger, has speakers, and audio out.
Summary: I received a 2010 with my new Windows 7 computer from Dell. From day one, Windows 7 did not recognize the 2010 (thinks it's a non-standard monitor). I'm afraid of restarting my machine, because each time I do, Windows 7 changes my screen settings. I've tried for over a year to get Dell to solve the problem, but I suspect it's a driver problem and they have better things to do. I hate this monitor!
