Summary: Really nice monitor, with a good picture and lots of connectivity, and the built in web cam was unexpected (for me) but a welcome plus..... saving me a usb port since I could put away the logitech. The resolution is slightly lower than the monitor it replaces but not by much.... not sure why resolution is this *should* be lower since it is a newer model. Touch also works great (once I calibrated it in Windows 8).
Summary: I have plugged my MacBook Air 11" 2013 model into a lot of different monitors at this price range. Both in Windows and Mac OS, there is no question this monitor displays both perfectly. The glossy screen makes it easy to transition my eyes from the MBA's screen to the Dell, which is almost never the case for other monitors, which are usually so washed out that I'd rather just focus on an 11" screen.
Summary: I am blown away by this monitor! As a photographer my sole concern is how a monitor performs for photo editing. My Viewsonic died and my second monitor, an old HP, just had horrible blacks when I brought it over as my primary. I did some research and bought this Dell. It was overly warm and way too bright out of the box, but after calibrating (with a Spyder4Pro) my jaw has been dropped ever since. It's so utterly vibrant and contrasty!
Summary: Excellent monitor, Sharp crisp colors and picture, all at a very attractive price! This monitor has a very wide viewing angle. When looking from the side, it is just as clear as looking head on. A terrific extra feature!!!
Summary: Perfect for me. If you get this, keep in mind the Dynamic Contrast Setting is supposed to be grayed out as this model's can't be adjusted. (I found this out after talking to a 3rd and 4th Dell representative).
Summary: I've had this monitor for a little less than a year now, and it just recently started getting white pulsating vertical lines on the right side of the screen. Tried everything - switching computers, resetting it to display settings, unplugging, etc. Pretty disappointed. I'll just go back to my HP S2331. Many others have had this problem as I've found online. Sad, because it has a great display on it, until it crapped out on me.
Summary: This is an awesome monitor. Got it for the purpose of working from home and it has fit in perfect for my requirement. The display is crystal clear and the brightness and contrast in Auto adjust mode are just perfect for sitting at a 1.5 feet distance and starring at lots of lines of code. Connected it to Macbook Pro retina display and the clarity of this Dell monitor is as good as the retina display of MAC itself. Hassle free connectivity.
