Excerpt: Let me compare this to a slightly older, but very similar model that I also own, a Dell U2312HM.The picture quality is just as good, though the color balance "out of the box" was better on this newer panel. The corners are slightly brighter than the center, but it's not very noticeable; though the older model appears slightly better in this regard.
Summary: This is likely the first monitor I've used either at work or home that I didn't spend any time tweaking the settings. This thing has an excellent display right out of the box for text and video. Most displays don't have an adjustment beyond tilt, and it was a requirement for me to have one that I could adjust the height. Very satisfied with this purchase.
Summary: This is my second Dell and LCD monitor. My previous monitor was a Dell E207WFP which is 1680x1050 (16:10) that I purchased in fall 2006. My only disappoint is that monitor manufactures in general took the 16:9 route with displays. 16:10 monitors seem to have become less common and more expensive. Other than that, I am very satisfied with this monitor.
Pros: IPS, cable management, sturdy/adjustable stand, USB ports
Cons: The placement of the USB ports, but not really a big if you're only connecting a K/M. Would have been nice if they opted for a HDMI option instead of a VGA.
Summary: Purchased this for a member of our staff who has been having some vision issues. Works perfectly for him. Overall display quality is really nice - and I have it hooked up to a VGA port. I expect a better video card and HDMI connection would improve the quality some more but that was not my goal. I have recommended to several people who were looking for a nice monitor that wasn't too big.
Summary: I purchased a new PC from Dell for my home office. Spec'd a pair of these monitors to go with it. price was considerably less than Dell's and they weren't interested in dealing... Ordered the monitors two days after the PC and they arrived a day before.
