Summary: I bought the monitor for photo and video editing. Out of the box it's very blueish, like 99% of monitors. This one calibrated fine and colors compared to prints seem to be correct after using the colormuki display. The viewing angles are not very good though, witch is the whole point for me, there might be a problem using this monitor on a narrow desk since brightnes and color seems to get very uneven when close to the screen.
Summary: I bought this to connect to as a 2nd monitor for my MacBook Pro, in vertical position to be used for web surfing and coding. Initially I tried to connect it via an HDMI to DisplayPort CableMatters cable. This didn't work and I don't know why. So I had to use one of the two mini-DisplayPort connections (which wasn't my preference)... That said, it's great, perfect size and rotates easily (love that the stand it comes with allows this).
Summary: I ordered two of these monitors and they look great. I have three issues with them, however: 1. No DVI cables included. They include a USB cable, a DisplayLink cable, and a VGA cable, but no DVI. I intended to use them over DVI, so I had to go buy separate cables. 2. The USB hub ports are covered by the cable management shield and are not easily accessible.
Summary: I couldn't be happier with this monitor. I use it as a second monitor for my iMac and the resolution is just as clear and sharp as the iMac's. I read great reviews of this monitor and I'm not disappointed!
Summary: Perfect for what I need. I bought two to use on my workstation, and love all the features. I just need to buy longer cables so I can rotate them while using my desk setup... they're not quite long enough to rotate without needing to move the tower so the cables work. I love being able to easily adjust the brightness for bright or dark days (depending on how much light comes in through the windows).
Summary: Picture quality is great. I bought it because I do not like wide screen and planned to use it in portrait to work on my documents, that was disappointing since it is not wide enough and too tall. Am learning to use wide screen but I prefer the older 4/3 ratio.
