Summary: I have to say first of all I knew what I was buying. I read the reviews. Fifty percent said run and find another monitor. It's been a year since I bought this monitor. White particles have started appearing on the screen out of no where. They weren't there at first and my setup hasn't changed.
Summary: I have calibrated this screen using a X-Rite i1 Display Pro. I highly recommend tweaking the settings to what I've listed below. The colors will still be off, but your grays will be near perfect. Mine is next to a Dell U2412M, which is VERY nice.
Pros: The picture is nice a bright and it has plenty of input options. The adjustable height is very nice.
Cons: This monitor has extremely bad color accuracy and contrast. The contrast is so high you can't see a lot of detail in white scenes, and adjusting it down still doesn't bring all the detail back. Unless you have it next to a high end monitor like I do, you'd probably never even notice. If this will...
Summary: This monitor arrived packed in more than enough bubble wrap. The condition of the monitor is like new. The accessories look like they were never touched. There are no dead pixels and everything works as it is supposed to. This is a great value for the money.
Summary: I had to write a review because of the mostly negative ones and the featured positive is by someone who does coding on it. Really? That's not much of a test. I bought a refurbished from Dell outlet at a good price. Why I bought it- 1) It's NOT the ubiquitous 16:9. I really dislike "widescreen" .
It isn't quite as crisp as my old monitor but definitely very good for the price

Summary: I got this to replace my old Viewsonic, which had the same size and resolution. It isn't quite as crisp as my old monitor but definitely very good for the price. This monitor has a 1:1.6 aspect ratio, which I greatly prefer over the 1:1.777 monitors e.g. 1920x1080.
