Great little monitor for a PC - NOT mac compatible
2 October 2014
Summary: if you can setup a tv you can set up this monitor! It took only about 5 mins and the display is clear and sharp. The stand is sturdy so you don't feel like you're going to knock it over when you touch it. My only issue (the reason I gave it 4 stars) is that it DOES NOT work with macs. I was under the impression that there was no driver to install but there is, and right now there are no mac compatible touchscreen drivers... anywhere.
Summary: Nice monitor, good quality, and works well, but don't buy unless you are a techie or want to risk a lot of frustration. I expected this monitor to plug and play with my Windows 8.1 Sony Viao laptop, or at least work fine once I ran the enclosed DVD. First, I could not get my computer to go to the full 1600 x 900 resolution from my AMD video card, even though the built-in display was working well at 1600 x 900. In the process of working with video drivers (be careful!
Summary: It works great - does what it is supposed to - and the price was right. I just don't like the Windows 8 over 7. This is my 3rd DELL monitor over the years - hopefully this one will outlast the computers, too.
Summary: These are a great value, I have purchased 6 or so of these. The touch is responsive and the unit is lite. I don't like the bevel much but you can't have everything. The price is what has me coming back.
Summary: Works as described by other users but installation is not as easy as described. Install drivers, then start the monitor using the standard VGA cable and connect both the HDMI cable and USB cable. The Monitor menu has selection buttons on the right side of the monitor will allow you to make setup changes. Select HDMI from this menu and touch screen and monitor should work as described. I'm using a Windows 8.1 PC.
