Summary: This was exactly the monitor I wanted because the resolution exactly matches the 13" Macbook Air I use. I had a very expensive EIZO monitor connected to the MBA for a while but because it's pixel ratio was not the same as the MBA, the text was always a bit soft. This monitor isn't particularly fancy but it can be adjusted vertically and is nice and sharp at 1440x900 which is really all I needed. For my simple requirements it was perfect.
Summary: I use two of these at work for a dual-monitor setup, and I am really pleased! I used to use one of these with a Viewsonic 19" widescreen and could immediately tell a difference between the two. The Viewsonic's colors were duller and were darker than the Dell's, and even on max contrast they still weren't as good.
Summary: I bought this as a second monitor for my pc to run dual displays. Has good pic, I do not game, but I feel it is a great monitor. Only paid $50.00. Better quality than my ASUS but really like both. The Dell E198WFP 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor is a great option. Who Knew?
Summary: I use this monitor at work as a second output for my laptop. I have some LG monitors at home. I can tell you without a doubt that this monitor is overly bright and everything appears whitewashed. I wouldn't even hit someone with this monitor. Don't buy this junk. There is a great review on kirsle.net if you google this monitor (E176FP) that speaks about the exact issue I'm having. This is hands down the worst monitor I've ever used.
