Perhaps a decent bedroom tv but not up to snuff as a monitor

Summary: So, that's what I get for being impulsive but I saw this at a local store's electronic section and I was in the market for a 27 inch monitor for PC gaming. I currently have a 19 inch 1600x900 monitor (viewsonic) that I like but wanted something bigger. This was on sale so I pulled the trigger and rushed home. My excitement diminished when I booted things up and this side by side with my viewsonic has a very poor black level. No problem I figured it must be a setting.
Summary: Bought a bunch of these for work. Brought one home as a temp and have it side by side with my 28' Hanns-G. CTL monitor looks faded, colors (especially blacks) look light and faded. I'm an IT professional and after 30min of tinkering I was able to improve the quality only slightly. Makes my cheap Hanns-G monitor look pro! I would not buy again.
Summary: That's right the CTL Monitor of mine is So Awesome it makes unicorns cry tears of skittles. Butterfly's flutter by and die from the high contrast ratio's. And to think of all the megawatts we will save with the LED back-lighting. OMG. I'm off to build a shrine to this magnificent piece of LCD engineering.
Summary: Played on this monitor at the UGC tournament at Rend Lake College. The main stage looked beautiful with these beasts sporting some Halo 4. Great response times and an awesome picture as well. One of the best monitors I have played on. What more is there to say? Epic. I'm in love.
Summary: The CTL LP2701w 27" monitor from CTL is dressed to impress. This stunning, high-performance monitor will rival big name competitors. Taking advantage of the fairly new LED technology now more commonly found in personal PC Monitors, the 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio will impress any image conscious consumer.
