Summary: Switching from HDMI to DVI makes all my icons disappear. I have both so I can game with 144hz and watch Blu Rays in HDMI mode. This is another 'bonus' the Benq has presented. BEWARE hdmi can only do 60hz. Soon I will put this monitor on craigslist and try to forget the whole ordeal.
Pros: Magic hertz, see them <--- they are right there.
Cons: Going from a beautiful Asus picture to this Benq was a huge step backward. I ran both displays side by side and the Asus had a better picture, but I kept the Benq for the higher refresh rate. Speaking of which, makes no difference to me (though I do leave it in 144hz during gaming to try to get s...
Summary: Great for gaming, but if you ever want to watch youtube or any videos, go somewhere else. Why would they make a stupid feature to ruin such a great monitor?!!
Pros: Okay, I bought this monitor a week ago, and it is superb. No ghosting etc, super smooth. Just look up my older review for the pros.
Cons: Okay now for the con, a BIG one. Okay maybe 2 if you include their non existant customer support. I just decided to watch my first youtube vid a few days ago, and WHAT THE EFF man! The movie/video is dark! I tried all sorts of formats and they are all super dark!! I was gaming for a week and so t...
Buyer Beware. This is a cheap TN panel. Be aware of what this means.

Summary: I wish I did my homework on TN/IPS/VA panels before I bought this. Would have saved me the 17 bucks I had to spend to send it back to Newegg. Thank goodness for the Iron Egg Guarantee.
Pros: It displays 144hz just fine. The little controller that comes with it is neat. The soft buttons on the face are a nice touch. It's cheap for what it does.
Cons: Before I start, go and Google TN, IPS, and VA panels to understand that there are differences between your current pretty Dell and this BenQ monitor here. Firstly, you should know that color representation on this panel is way off. Where you'd see a smooth transition in colors normally, this moni...
Summary: I'll start by saying that I will never, ever buy another BenQ product again and I very much regret this purchase. Also the monitor I have is the XL2420T, which is essentially the same as this one.
Pros: 120hz and minimal motion blur
Cons: The monitor I received has very poor contrast, which varies visibly in different areas of the screen when viewing a black screen.
Summary: I have tried multiple power cables, and multiple different connections to my PC (HDMI, dual link DVI, display port). The monitor will not turn on. The power light will only turn on when the bezel is touched near the light.
Pros: Looks great and came in excellent packaging. Also included all cables.
Cons: WON'T TURN ON! Tried multiple inputs. Other 30" Dell Cinema Display is fine. Tried plugging into mobo dvi as well. No Avail... White power light continues to blink momentarily... Not sure what to do.
Summary: More of a review of their service than their monitor but be warned.
Pros: Nice Monitor
Cons: Broke after 30 days, had to RMA through Benq, its been 3 weeks since I mailed it out and I still have not received a replacement monitor. Nobody picks up when I call BenQ customer service, will NEVER buy from them again. Sticking with Viewsonic.
Summary: If all you do is play games, this will probably work for you. If you do other things, avoid this monitor like the plague... Seems Heaton and Spawn don't care about monitor quality when they were designing this piece of c**p. This monitor isn't worth $389 at all...
Pros: The only pros to this monitor is that it's good looking (as in the actual monitor, not the display), very well designed and 120 Hz... but other than that it's just horrible.
Cons: Where do I start.... The image quality of this monitor is horrible, many pictures look washed out (even with calibrated settings). You can feel a lot of flicker when set at a low brightness which is horrible for reading and actually hurts the eyes... The actual display is too deep within the fram...
