Bright. Clear. Gorgeous.

Robert J. Swider "RobotSpider", Amazon
6 May 2014
  • Summary: Bright. I mean, really bright. If you had to game in broad daylight, during a snowstorm, at McMurdo Station in Antarctica, you would still see every detail. In general, I keep it dialed back to ~60%, and it's still really bright. It can be a little time-consuming to dial it in correctly, but the capability and flexibility of this monitor gives you more options than you ever thought possible.

144Hz is smooth

Y. P. Lo, Amazon
5 April 2014
  • Summary: Monitor at 144Hz is really smooth and good, especially for FPS games. However, the default boot-up screen with the BenQ logo is too bright for my tastes. Luckily, there is a way to fix that via the service menu. 1. Turn off screen. 2. Turn on screen while holding the menu button (4th button from top) 3. Wait till visuals are displayed. 4. Use the menu button to access the service menu and turn off that pesky boot logo.

Great monitor

John S., Amazon
2 April 2014
  • Summary: Coming from a 24" dell ultra sharp, I was really worried about the quality. Well, there is a bit of quality loss and its darker around the edge of the screen, but I could never ever go back to 60hz for gaming. On FPS I bet this sounds stupid, but I do think it will increase your K/D ratio and its because when you look around, you can see things more clearly. You wont aim faster, but you will see things faster.

Best gaming monitor on the planet right now.

Jared T. Guess "Jared", Amazon
22 March 2014
  • Summary: As the title says, best gaming monitor there is.. It's huge,..it's 144Hz refresh. 120hz is fantastic, but 144Hz is just insane. Refresh makes a HUGE difference. It has backlighting that makes a HUGE difference. You can use strobelight on it for 2D web-browsing etc and it looks great. It's SO much easier/better on your vision/eyes for long duration computer use.. and let's be honest who under 50yrs old doesn't spend hours a day at a computer? Not many..

Outstanding!

Brian Richie, Amazon
9 March 2014
  • Summary: This monitor is simply amazing. Once I made the switch from 60hz there was no going back. I can honestly say that this monitor went above and beyond all of my expectations. However, I expected maybe a scratch or something since I ordered it refurbished but was surprised that the monitor was perfectly fine. Everything was great until about 3 weeks in and I discovered a dead pixel. I was devistated, but I hardly even notice it anymore.
