Summary: I had tried the ASUS VG248QE 144HZ monitor and it absolutely killed my eyes. The reason is because of the PWM (Pulse-width Modulation) of the Asus monitor. The BenQ XL2420TE is currently the only flicker free 144hz monitor and is very easy on the eyes. It also has much better color and brightness.
Pros: Doesn't hurt my eyes. 144hz. Has good colors, contrast, brightness, and totally useable profiles. Looks great. USB. Sturdy. Gaming @ 144hz with twin 4gb GTX 680's is awesome.
Cons: None. I am completely satisfied with Neweggs customer service and the quality of the monitor.
Summary: I ordered 2 of these and one came with a dead pixel in the upper right hand area. That being said I am so impressed with this monitor that I'm purchasing a third and replacing the defective unit. If things change over time will update.
Pros: Games look and Play Great Easy Setup Many Configuration Options Quality Build
Cons: Quality Control Dead Pixel on 1 of my 2 ordered monitors
Summary: I don't know what that other guys is complaining about with the customer service... if they hangup call back... It isn't that hard to call a number back after they hung up once, what if it was an accident.
Pros: Great monitor, no trouble installing. It was a bit confusing to put together because... I thought it would be super hard, but it isnt at all. It all just snaps together.
Cons: After pluging it in, i had a lot of lag when using 144hz, it is either my graphics card or seomthing, but when i restarted the computer it fixed most of this.
Summary: I was unsure if 120hz gaming would be worth it, and now there is no uncertainty. The extra smoothness goes a long way and I really like all the cool design features of this monitor. Awesome in BF3! Very recommended!
Summary: This monitor has turned out to work great. The calibration out of the box is awful, but after a few minutes the monitor looked better than my now secondary lg monitor. Haven't used the 3D mode yet but it's nice to have the option. Video is smooth and rich on games and movies, a great buy
Summary: This is my first FPS gaming monitor and I have to say, this is one of the best purchases I made in a while. At first, I was pretty disappointed with the color options it came with from the factory but after a couple hours and adjustments later, I got it to where I'm satisfied.
Pros: -120hz is very noticeable, even when moving the mouse cursor around on the desktop. -Adjustable stand. -Hole in the stand for cable management. -Ability to rotate monitor. -S Switch to switch from desktop/web browsing mode to gaming mode. -Black Equalizer is the biggest thing for games with a lot...
Cons: -Colors look washed out compared to my previous IPS panel monitor. -Color settings from factory need a lot of touching up to get it right. -Viewing angles aren't good compared to my IPS panel.
