Summary: Absolutely. I immediately told my friends who play Unreal with me to try to save up for one.
Pros: I rarely write reviews. But it only took one game of Unreal Tournament 4 to immediately want to write one for my BenQ. I cannot explain the massive difference I experienced between playing on my old 60 hz monitor and cranking it up to 144 hz with the FPS mode. Headshots were suddenly easy to land...
Cons: I was unclear about whether or not I had the drivers properly installed. I inserted the CD that came with it, and it just took me to a website that had links to the user manual and a few other options, none of them resembling drivers. But I havn't had any issues yet so I guess they automatically ...
Summary: People say the default colors are bad/washed out/dull or something, but i didn't see the case, i actually did not need to do anything to the monitor, i loved it as soon as i turned it on, other than putting it 144hz and during on blur reduction, it's beautiful.
Pros: - Large - Easy to set up - 144hz - Good colors - Ability to use different color profiles off of the BenQ website - Blur Reduction - Can use bluebusters strobe utility - Nice, heavy stand which is adjustable in every direction
Cons: The UPS delivery guy dropped it off at the wrong house, i was lucky the neighbors were decent human beings and brought it over to me.
Excerpt: I purchased this for my son who is very much into online gaming and is attending college. He specified this monitor because professional gaming teams use this brand and model because of the refresh rate and quality of images.
Summary: This monitor has absolutely gone beyond my expectations. After an incessant amount of research, I opted for this as opposed to it's Asus competitor. While I can't compare it directly, I will say that the picture is absolutely wonderful.
Summary: Pros: - Easy and adjustable height stand. - Blue light reduction is easy to get used to and to adjust, adjustment range is big enough to gradually climb up with ease. - Colors are acceptable once you figure out how to mess with them.
Eyes Blood Shot after 12 Hours. 2 Stars for Color & Contrast
30 November 2015
Summary: The screen is way too bright, even after making the monitor 40% brightness and on Standard mode with Low Blue Light set to max. Also downloaded ICC and adjusted color temp. Everything is way too white. Not enough blacks in this monitor. After 12 hours of gaming my eyes were blood shot really bad.
Summary: The monitor is updated to the current version 4 firmware. I am a competitive CS:GO player and the ghosting with blur reduction is a complete turn off for me using try feature so I keep it off all the time. But with it off you see much more blurred pictures displayed on the screen.
Pros: High refresh rate Swivel and pivot and rotation 1920x1080 24inch display It's a TN panel No visible backlight bleed Relatively small bezel No audible electrical noise for internal components Cool to the touch
Cons: This is a great monitor highly recommend but it has some pretty significant flaws When blur reduction is enabled it's much dimmer than normal and it has a Very noticeable ghosting issue, and when disabled the picture looks noticeably blurrier. It has issues with some programs/games running at 144...
