BenQ V2400

The BenQ V2400 is a Eco-Friendly monitor that features LED (light-emitting diode) technology engineered with zero light leakage, enabling an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of 5 million:1 for intense blacks and extreme whites. This provides users with details and near-infinite color variations. The monitor also features BenQ’s Senseye™ 3 Human Vision Technology which amplifies image clarity, and depth and provides flicker-free performance for long-term viewing and visual comfort. The LED technology on this monitor enables instant display when the monitor is powered up. The 24.0 inch (diagonal) LED monitor also feature “Eco” mode for 30% less power-consumption.

Features

The mercury-free LED panel of the V2400 Eco monitor consume 36% less power than traditional CCFL displays, and is a lighter (-14.6%) and thinner (-21.2%) model, saving on packaging (+56%) and affords efficient shipping. The packaging material used itself is an eco-friendly feature: paper cushioning, composed of 80% recycled paper material, replaces Styrofoam; the carton is also 80% recycled paper material; and printing on the carton now uses 70% less ink and is done in 100% soy ink. To further cut back on waste, the Quick Startup Guide is printed on the outside of the carton, thus reducing the need to make a separate brochure. Hard-to-decompose plastic bags are also removed from accessory packaging, and an online manual is available, instead of supplying users with CD user manuals. The V2400 features an asymmetrical style with a snow white ID, that is made from 28% recycled plastic, and is compliant to EPEAT (a program of the Green Electronics Council) and PC3R (an organization that promotes reuse, reduction, and recycling of PCs and PC displays). There is no chemical coating or printing of any kind taints the shell’s whiteness. The BenQ logo and button markings are engraved, and the monitor comes with a multi-function round holder designed into the base of the monitor. The V2400 Eco is certified TCO 5.0, RoHS, EnergySTAR 4.1, EuP Energy, PC3R, and EPEAT Gold.

  • BenQ V2400 ECO LED and ARC / Interpolation Settings

Hi, I'm thinking on purchasing a BenQ V2400 ECO LED. My idea would be to connect it to my XBox360 Elite through the HDMI connection. But a friend of mine warned me that it is very important for the monitor to have ARC (Aspect Ratio Control), also called Interpolation Settings, in order to show the FullHD image with ratio 1:1 (i.e., showing the extra rows of pixels as black lines, without any scaling, because the resolution is 1920x1200, whereas FullHD is only 1080). I've tried googling but I found nothing on the topic for that specific model, any help would be sincerely appreciated. Btw, my other bet would be an LG W2453V-PF, would it be a decent substitute?
