Summary: OK, the RTS display mode, really is only good for RTS games... Looks washed out on a standard desktop, or web browsing.... I am using the HDMI port, to my GTX560 Ti boot. When UAC does it's screen goes black bit.. Sometimes the display complains signal out of range, and I need to power cycle the monitor. It's minor, and I haven't troubleshot it to figure out where the problem lies.. Could be the HDMI cable, the card, the display, or just that I am using HDMI and not DVI.
Summary: For a 24" monitor under $200, I'm astounded by the build quality, the number of settings, and the display quality. Mind you, it is still a monitor under $200. On mine there is a minor imperfection at the bottom of the display about 1/3 the width from the left side. Just a few pixels about the size of my thumbnail that are always brighter/whiter than they should be. Also, the back-light (if on) doesn't refresh nearly as fast as the colors will.
Great Gaming Monitor, just need to set it up correctly

Summary: BenQ has been on my radar as a gaming monitor for a while. I did a lot of research and my wife bought me the RL2450HT for our 1 year wedding anniversary. This is the RTS (Real Time Strategy) version monitor, and that is important to understand. The RTS version comes pre-configured to use the RTS setting out of the box. Keep this in mind the first time you plug it in and power it on as it will likely disappoint you unless this is why you bought it.
Summary: Tons of options in the menu. Navigation buttons are cleverly thought out and convenient. The screen quality is excellent for a non-IPS. The blacks are black and best of all, the response time is very fast. I sold my 27" IPS to my brother and bought this. IPS monitors still have too high of input lag and I saw lots of ghosting in games. For the price, this is a great deal. The build quality is sturdy and it even has a adjustable stand, which is excellent.
Summary: so i wanted the xl gaming monitor because i mostly play fps games but figured this one would do the job fine even tho its the RTS style monitor... i was right, monitor is awesome.. color was a little weird but got in calibrated good after a few mins messing with the setting. the stand it awesome, really cool really stable, the blacks are crazy black on this monitor, its like pitch black for real. but great looking picture.
Summary: Good monitor for gaming, take a bit of getting used to if you don't want to keep changing the settings from gaming to normal use I will buy a 2nd one later this week
Pros: - For gaming the 2ms response time is second to none, I don't get any ghosting whatsoever
- When playing RTS the RTS mode is definitely a bonus, it did make seeing units on the minimap a lot easier to see
- build quality of the monitor is good too
- HAS (Height adjustable stand) is a nice feature for the monitor
Cons: - It comes with a VGA cable.... c'mon, did someone at BENQ realize they had a stockpile of VGA cables they had to get rid of? On top of that my VGA cable was faulty, so I was getting flickering, I had to buy a DVI cable cause of this
- Menus are a bit confusing at start and takes a while for you to adjust the colors
- At first the colors do seem a bit green, but that's because default mode is RTS
