Summary: Text is okay, but not great. I had to go into scaling on CCC to get the monitor to fill the whole screen (coming from a 1920X1200 monitor). Also, and maybe the most disturbing... colors. I can't tell yet if it's me or the monitor. When I run color tests and blue/red/green tests it's good, but dunno.... something just seems off. Very possible it's me, so not listing as a con.I will update if I find out more.
Pros: Nice size and if you're coming from an older 24" LCD you'll find the footprint on this monitor is not much wider or longer. Thin bezel FTW.
Cons: It would not automatically detect HDMI... I was stumped for awhile until I went into the controls and manually selected HDMI as the input.
Excerpt: I bought this monitor for watching movies and gaming. Great colours make movies and gaming pure pleasure. Easy setup and OSD, great presets right out of the box. Great bargain at $[*] that I paid for this. Sells for $[*] in Canada. With the money I saved I got the 2 years Fair Trade warranttee. SweetCons: Could only get 69Hz refresh rate, was hoping for 75Hz. An adjustable stand would have been nice also.
Summary: I had some initial doubts, but now I have to agree with the other positive reviewers that the BenQ GW2560HS is a very nice monitor. It’s outstanding features are its pleasant image, ultra-thin bezel, light weight and low cost, perhaps in reverse order. Although fine for general use, it would be best-suited for multi-monitor applications.
Conclusion: Very pleased with my new purchase. It seems massive compared to my previous monitor a 24" samsung. The picture quality is excellent, very sharp. The flicker free really makes a difference and it's great for your eyes when doing a lot of reading. Bought this as opposed to the slightly cheaper non-HM model Ben Q as it had more HDMI input, VESA mount and speakers. Which brings me to my only sizable criticism, the speakers which are a joke.
Summary: This is a bright and clear display which performs well straight out of the box. My screen has developed some dead pixals over the month i have had it but does not detract from the overall image.
Summary: I bought this screen from warehouse deals. It was a great price for a 27inch as they normaly cost around the 200 pound mark.I have had no issues and the picture quality is clear and the colors very vibrant.I mostly use it to watch movies or play games on my pc so didn't really care that ot didn't have hdmi. The stand is very steady unlike others i saw on the market.Only thing I would comment is that it sometimes makes a slight noise that you can only hear if you go close...
