Perfect monitor for all PC users!

  • Excerpt: I got this monitor for my computer 3 years ago when I started university and it has not let me down. 24 inch is a perfect size, great for gaming, browsing and even word documents etc, with a lovely widescreen allowing you to have 2 documents up side by side with ease. It is apparently low in power consumption, which I can assume is true as it turns itself off within a few seconds if the computer is off or if there is nothing inputting to it.
  • Pros: Large and colourful screen that's easy to see in sunlight .  Light weight
  • Cons: Attracts dust

  • Summary: Brilliant, absolutely great quality, run from my mac pro and xbox, no issues. Took me ages to figure out how to get it to recognise the hdmi, simply press the enter button a few times, it cycles through different input options.

  • Summary: Excellent monitor to buy as even down the low end of brightness the picture still looks fantastic. Games look so much better as the quality of the screen is so good. The high definition and hdmi capability is definitly a bonus!

A very good monitor at this price point although i paid this two years ago

  • Excerpt: I was previously using 17" screen which was fine for basic browsing and email usage. Though as i do a lot of word processing it became frustrating trying to compare or edit two documents at the same time. The work i used to do required me to look at one document while referring to another on a smaller screen it means you need to keep minimising and maximising between the two which becomes annoying as you lose where on the document where you looking.

  • Excerpt: Last year I decided to make the switch from PC to Mac. After considering all of the options I went for a Mac Mini, and as a result I needed a decent monitor to go with it. Searching around for opinions and recommendations, this particular monitor kept cropping up as a good one to buy. I paid under £150 for it, and its proved to be an excellent choice. It comes with HDMI, DVI and D-SUB (VGA) inputs. I've only tried the DVI input.
  • Pros: High quality, wide screen, sharp, relatively cheap, supports DVI .
  • Cons: Possibly a problem with it coming out of hibernation .

  • Excerpt: I got this monitor for a christmas present last year. I was absolutely astonished by the quality of the monitor. The price for starters, is amazingly cheap. I brought mine about 6 months ago for aroun £180. I dear say you can probably get it cheaper now. This minitor offers a huge screen of 24" and a massive resolution of 1920x1080. This means you have an incredable amount of room to view different applications side-by-side.

  • Excerpt: This is a great monitor for an ever greater price! I originally bought this for gaming on my ps3 as it is full HD and the contrast ratio is very high for the price you are paying. Buying a TV of this specification would have set me back £100 more than the £145 i paid for this of www.oyyy.co.uk.

Fantastic value but don't expect a fantastic monitor

  • Excerpt: There's been a glut of 16:9 ratio monitors over the last few years which are gradually squeezing out the usual 16:10 format which has slightly more vertical space. While the G2420HD is a 16:9 monitor sporting a 1920 x 1080 resolution, I can vouch for the fact that you get used to the resolution very quickly and that's coming from someone who has a 24in 1920 x 1200 monitor at work and a 1680 x 1050 (also 16:10) monitor at home.
  • Pros: Fantastic value, perfectly acceptable visuals
  • Cons: Colours not as good as more expensive IPS screens, OSD is tricky to navigate, lack of adjustments

Great monitor for a great price

  • Excerpt: To start with, I am REALLY happy with this monitor. I did a lot of research and was still unsure when I decided to order the G2420HD because, even though I'd heard good things, I'd never used a BenQ product before. I was thrilled when I started using it, though. There's really a lot to like about it. The design itself would fit seemlessly almost anywhere, including my desktop. It's sleek, black, good looking in general.
  • Pros: Full HD, great color, like the design
  • Cons: a little hard to adjust
