Summary: I originally bought one of these to try out and what can I say. Everything about em is good. It might not be the absolute best monitor on the market but it good enough to play all kinds of games on, movies and everything else but professional photo editing. I now own two of these to dual screen. Works out great =) no problems so far after 2 years or so.
Summary: Look around for pricing, because you can get this monitor for cheap... ...and for the price, I found it to be a pretty good computer monitor, however, I decided to play my xbox 360 on it... and its amazing. Now I primarily use it for that. Conclusion: Great for multipurpose use (monitor\TV\XBOX\p3) Buy it if you ever take your xbox over to a friends house and they don't have 2 hdtvs.
Summary: Anyone considering a BenQ monitor should know that this company makes dangerous products that are a fire hazard. Twice in the past 24 months, I've had a BenQ monitor catch fire. Thank God we are in the habit of turning our monitor off when not in use. Because, if this had happened while we were asleep or away, it could have burned the house down. The real crime here is that the unit was returned to BenQ for repair/replacement after the first fire.
Summary: they said they sent it but they didnt then they tried to offer me something else. i tried contacting them but they never answered til i got amazon staff involved. they then where calling me by a name that was not mine here on amazon but then would quickly send me a different email with my right name directly to me so that there was no record of it here.
Summary: This monitor works great for people who like to game. I play games such as MMO's and intense fps's like unreal tournament 2004. I sense no input lag whatsoever. I also use the monitor for my xbox 360 and it works great for that too with nice hd quality. TN or not a TN panel, I really don't care as I am usually sitting very near the monitor looking straight on so no problems there. Even when I view at an angle, the loss of picture is not bad at all.
Summary: I totally agree with "RobFactory", that TN panels are great for their money and usually seem to get bad reviews for the fact of the viewing angle disadvantage; but seriously, who would use their monitor from a different angle. Even if the viewing angle was superb at a different angle it's just impractical; however, I'd understand if you were a designer how that would be an advantage in some ways, but if not then there is no reason to complain... seriously..
Summary: While it is the almost certainly the best monitor you can get for the price, it's also just a pretty darn good monitor. In the past I've generally gone with either Sony or ViewSonic monitors, which have always delivered great quality but have also been a bit on the pricey side. After getting a couple of recommendations from friends who have purchased this monitor, as well as reading a positive review on Ars Technica, I decided to order one for myself when my 3-year old...
Summary: First of, people talk about TN panels as if it were a weakness. It is not. The only negative thing I keep on hearing is that TN panels suffer from poor viewing angles. However, there's only one angle and that's in front of me. Having said that the packaging on the item is simple, plastic wrap, foam padding on the corners and the box. I, like the previous reviewer, had a 19"inch. I had a 21ms, 4:3 Samsung 910T. Now going from 19" to 24" WD is amazing.
Summary: Overall, the monitor represents a good value. The TN panel has limited viewing angles. However, for a TN panel, the viewing angles are good. The backlight uniformity appears quite good. The colors seem fairly well calibrated out of the box. Pros: -Colors are fairly well calibrated out of the box -Excellent value considering the quality compared to other TN panels -My two monitors both came without discernable dead pixels Cons: -Still a TN panel (VA or particularly IPS...
Summary: This is one of my best purchases from Amazon. Although I have only had this monitor for a few days, I already can tell it is definitely a great product. I went from a 19'' LCD to this 24'' and the increase in size is very noticeable. The image is great and the colors seem to be relatively balanced out the box. The design is very simple, but it doesn't look cheap. The stand has no height adjustment, only tilt. Also mine had no dead pixels.
