Summary: I finally decided to go from my old crt monitor to a lcd monitor. I brought this from an excellent seller who got it to me the next day (imagine that). This monitor does not disappoint. It was already used but you really could not tell that it was not new. The picture is soooo clear. My screensavers look awesome. It was easy to set up just plug it in and that was it. I did not have to do any major adjusting for the color, it was perfect.
Summary: The Benq FR731 17 inch is an excellent monitor. In my opinion, it's screen clarity is unsurpassed in the graphic arts. The color spectrum is always correct. What you see on the screen is what the prints out. I use this monitor for my home computer, but would recommend it for any business system. The Anti-glare coating on screen eliminates reflective glare from overhead and desk lights, plus the refined resolution and clarity reduces eye strain.
Summary: The FP731 offers excellent value in a 17" LCD display. It is a great choice for someone who wants the basics in a cost-effective package that will work with display adapters that use a standard SVGA Analog output. The display's controls are simple, featuring four manual adjustment buttons located on the bottom front of the screen frame. There is also an auto-adjustment button and a power switch. The menu is intuitive and easy to navigate.
Summary: Bought four of these for an office job. One just went dead - screen almost completely dark but visable in the contrast. Fluttered a few times and now dead. Trying to find cause, but must be in power supply due to no back light either. Oh well for the low cost - what do I expect?
Summary: I've had a BenQ FP731 for about six months with no problems. I bought it at about $300 and it had the best specs for the price at the time and that still seems to be the case. It is only 9 Lbs, which is good if you're travelling and it has a clean appearance and feels solid. It works well pivoting to portrait view--if you change your video card settings or install Pivot Pro software. There is essentially no manual, but the default settings are pretty good.
Summary: With the purchase of this monitor, I finally joined the LCD monitor club. I think it is time for everyone to join the club and what better way than with this monitor ! Great price. Great quality. Takes only a couple of minutes to set up. After the computer is switched on, it does an auto adjust and that is it. I didn't give it 5 stars only because I didn't want to make it look like this is the best among the best. I have seen better LCD monitors than this.
