The BenQ FP241VW 24 inch LCD Monitor is 8 bit, and also comes with a number of features, including two on board USB ports and the BenQ senseye and AMA Z technology. The monitor comes pre-assembled with a top bracket that clips into the monitors frame. The frame of the monitor is silver, and the left side contains a very legible function panel with two USB ports and a headphone input port. Three choices are offered as to how to hook the monitor up to your computer or HTPC; DVI, HDMI or D-Sub. There are also S-video, composite and USB Hardwire connectors. The Power Cable, DVI, USB and D-Sub are included. However S-Video, Composite or HDMI cable would have to be purchased if you want to use them. The setup is simple all you need to do is choose the desired cable (HDMI, DVI, D-Sub), connect it to both your computer and monitor, turn the monitor’s power on and reboot your computer. The BenQ FP241VW provides a CD which contains a screen saver, online manual and test pattern program. When you enter this CD in your CD/DVD drive, a menu screen will appear and guide you through a small configuration to fine tune and provides information about the BenQ FP241VW. The ikey program is used to calibrate the monitor’s auto adjustment settings and can only be used with an analog D-Sub connection. Auto adjust does not work with a digital connection. After clicking on the ikey hypertext installation of the program will be done. To run the program just press the ikey button, menu will appear, scroll through the auto adjustment settings and adjust accordingly to achieve the best picture possible. The BenQ FP241VW is merely a plug and play monitor that will satisfy most avid gamers, as it features the latest leading technology.

Reviewer: A Customer, review.buy.com18 September 2007- Overall 10

This monitor is so cool and so bright. I use for gaming and for TV. Its fast video looks great i love the profiles in it. It has multiple hookup's. I cant wait to get my Xbox hooked up to it. I recomend not putting anything heaby on the ledge uptop. I put my speaker up there it feel and made a mark on the screen. Thank god it small mark and down low so you dont notice it. They should start putting glass over these things. Read more

#823 - BenQ FP241VW 24" LCD
Reviewer: 3dgameman.com11 May 2007- Overall 10

So it has bold styling, all kinds of connections, picture in picture, USB hub and so on, but how is it at gaming? Well, I played FEAR, Call of Duty 2, STALKER, Cellfactor Revolution at 1920x1200 and was literally blown away. It was by far the best LCD experience I've had on any display so far. 24 inches of LCD in front of your face when gaming needs to experience to be appreciated! There was no visible ghosting which is mandatory for any serious gamer. With a 6ms grey... Read more
