Summary: I did some extensive research and Amazon had the best price at the time. It arrived in 2 days without paying for expedited shipping. It was easy to hook up but the video card on the kids computer does not support wide screen resolution. The result was a distorted image.
Cons: I got two of these. One of them have develop a vertical thin line that won't go away. I tried changing the power cable, switching the video cable and it doesn't work. Sometimes I unplug the power cord and plug it back in, then the line would go away, however, it will always come back. It is still...
Pros: Go big or go home... good motto to live by unless you have no ... so this up against my previous 17" crt... LOL... there is obviously no comparison. I have never owned a lcd. The colors first pop alot more on LCDs ive found. When i previewed a few screen savers I found the trend to be true again....
Cons: I found out what a dead pixel was... Mine is located in the top right corner... Its not noticable unless you TRY to look for it... besides the DP.. I dont find to many cons about it... Got a good deal on Newegg
Summary: I just upgraded to a Gateway 24" (blank) that NewEgg is not selling because it's brand new, I'm sure they will be getting it, but now, WOW~! I gave my new / old BenQ to my Gal and she loves it, but it hold NO CONTEST to my new Gateway 24" DVi / HD / this.../ that~!
Pros: I bought this nice monitor right here and I was completly impressed upgrading to this BenQ from my Sony Flat LCD 17". It's bigger than you think after upgrading. It's a good monitor.
Cons: There is some slight backlight and from a 8ms response time, I thought I was somewhat sluggish. Not enough inputs for a serious playmaker~!
Summary: Product could have been great if there was no dead pixel in the center of the screen.
Pros: Great product and a very good price. Unfortunately, I was somewhat dissappointed after one month of owning this product, a dead blue pixel appeared in the center of the screen. When I first received this monitor, no dead pixel was found anywhere. Now, it is rignt in the center for you to see.
Cons: one dead blue pixel appeared in the center of the screen after I used it for a month. Although, depending on the background you don't see it, but it become a pain when it is right in the center of the screen.
Summary: To fix the lack of hight adjustment on stand i bought a universal monitor stand for very little, removed the stand that came with it and drilled 4 new holes to match the new stand and i now have 3-4 inches of adjustment on stand. If you want more bang for your buck?
Pros: Great price, sharp color, games look awsome (WOW, BF2, BHD, CS), Clean black edge all around screen with just a small green light on bottom right corner, controls are on right side, Very nice looking monitor. Did i say great price, compared price and specs with other monitors, this one always rat...
Cons: No hieght adjustment on stand, no biggie for me but maybee for some. Newegg will probably never do a buy one get other half off, LOL cant hurt to ask.
Pros: good quality screen for the price you pay. Looked around and didnt find much better for the price with shipping
Cons: when i hooked it up, there was one dead pixel. Newegg said they could not replace because it had to be 6 or more to be considered a defect. Therefore i have to deal with sending it off the manufacture for defect.
