Summary: This thing rocks! It shoots excited particles through little glass tubules and creates this amazing thing on it's front resembling a picture! So cool! Seriously though, ASUS does it again. This monitor was a welcome change from my old HP dv2007 20" display. Yes, visual clarity is lacking if you're sitting less than 2 feet away from it. But once you stop burning your eyes out and relax in your seat a bit, this baby shines.
Summary: Great no glare monitor, i bought this to replace an aging Viewsonic VP 921B that is about 7 years old and still working. The colors on the new monitor are great and the brightness has good range to see the details in photos.
Summary: I was very hesitant to go with this monitor because of the 5ms response time that is standard to IPS displays. I was switching from a Samsung 27" LCD 1ms response time. After trying another Asus model and still not satisfied I decided to pull the trigger. First of all no bezel makes this monitor look as slick as they come especially when playing a game with a dark title screen like Skyrim or Black Ops 2, you will notice almost no light at all coming from the back light.
Summary: Excellent monitor! I'm pretty big on PC gaming and I would hight recommend this product. Greatly compensates for my customized gaming comp. I've looked a ton of reviews before purchasing this product and a lot of them made comments based off gaming. Therefore since it's excellent for gaming purposes it's excellent for every other use. Definitely but this!!!
Summary: Searching for an AH-IPS or equivalent screen for photo-editing, I was disappointed to find no 24" option from ASUS. Between 21.5" and 27", I opted for the larger for the higher resolution. My first impression? 27" is a lot of monitor for a desktop. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but it feels a bit ostentatious. It's not annoying or uncomfortable, it's just a little gaudy.
Summary: I ordered one of these for myself, and one for my wife, and they are both stunning. Other reviews talk about damaged pixels and a cheap stand. I have no dead pixels in either monitor, and I think the pedastal is absolutely fine, sturdy with a nice finish, I don't see what's "cheap" about it. The year is 2014, not 1964, and just because something is made of plastic instead of freaking steel doesn't mean it is cheap or crappy.
Summary: You can't go wrong with this purchase. I love the picture quality with both text and video. The screen is also larger than life and I will never go back to anything smaller. I purchased the Asus VS239H-P to replace a 19 inch monitor thinking is was a good enough upgrade in size and quality. I was wrong completely wrong in both cases (might have gotten a defective unit). However, this monitor was what i needed.
