Summary: One of the most popular monitors around, the VW246H performs very well. Here are the pros and cons: Good - Accurate colors once calibrated - Fast response time (2 ms GTG) - HDMI port - SPLENDID modes are programmable Bad - Bad speakers - Factory presets aren't very useful - Could be thinner If you are interested in color calibration settings and profile, then do a search for "Best Gaming Monitor". Our site should be on the front page.
Summary: I guess this is the cheapest 24 LCD you can get in market now, and even with 2ms response, amazing! I just wanna share with you what I think ASUS can do better... 1) The stand feels really cheap and unstable, it's ok if you never touch the monitor but if you do...well.. 2) The settings buttons are not that convenient, you have to push them hard. This is headache especially when the stand is not that good.

Summary: I was using at 22" wide screen when i decided to upgrade it to this one. To be honest the upgrade in viewing area wasn't that big of a deal. Before I get off topic, this is a very good quality monitor by Asus, I was quiet surprised they made such good monitors. The only draw back i had was that anything else beside the screen is pretty basic and simple. The color balance is very accurate.
Summary: This is an absolutely great monitor for the price. It's very big, clear and crisp. I play a lot of video games and the monitor keeps up perfectly. It was an easy setup, no problem. The speakers don't really add to the package. I tried them out and they sounded hollow and nothing special. The one downside is the vertical viewing angle. Just by adjusting the height on my chair a little bit the brightness will change severely near the top and bottom of my monitor.
Summary: Easy to set up, great picture, very flexible, and you can't beat the price! I'm using this as a 2nd monitor with the ASUS VK246H 24" LCD Monitor. I use a Dell docking station with a Dell Precision M6400 laptop using DVI connections. I also have a Dell Dimension 5100C (PC workstation) connected separately with a VGA connection (all wiring included). I can switch screens back and forth at the touch of a button (easily going from work to play)!
Summary: As a photographer, the color and crispness of a monitor is very important and the Asus has delivered. After using this product for a few months, I can say I'm very pleased with the results. The color, crispness, and speed of the monitor is extraordinary and has worked perfectly with my 15" MacBook Pro since day one.
Summary: The monitor works great with my PS3 and works great with my computer. The only complaint is that the built in speakers don't sound too good, but for the price this is more than I could have expected.
Summary: Just received this and set it up today. Out of the box I found it to be a little bright. I liked the Theater Mode preset the best of the out-of-the-box preset options. I also found a forum thread on the ASUS site that had some calibration setting suggestions. One of those is working well for me. See for yourself at:[...] I've got this hooked up to my MacBook Pro using DVI with the Mini Display Port to DVI adapter from Apple.
Summary: I bought two 24" monitors at the same time to find out which was better (and because two people need one). The other was the ViewSonic VX2433wm. Viewsonic's monitor has sharper text, and in my opinion looks better. The text on this monitor is a little fuzzy. I found it odd that there was a sharpness setting... most monitors I've used with DVI don't have sharpness an option. The GUI is more refined than the Viewsonic -- you won't see color schemes like 4500k or 8800k.
