Summary: I played around with setting endlessly on two of these. Too dark, or too washed out seem to be the choices. Terrible for looking at spreadsheets. Tends to be bad at video as well, again, being too dark and muddy or simply looking like someone cranked up the gamma. I've endured them for a couple of years but I find myself looking for deals. It's a stark contrast using any of my home monitors for the same thing.
Summary: I bought this for a new computer build on Dec. 25th. Amazon had it to my doorstep on Dec. 30th. Fast for being Christmas and all. Monitor was flawless on arrival. Plug-n-Play, no problems. Auto adjust settings worked for me. My sound hardware is no good in my current computer so I can't test the speakers, but I don't expect much out of speakers anyway as I have my own. I noticed on another website that this same monitor had a 5 star rating with over 630 reviews.
Summary: I was looking to buy a new flatscreen HDTV when I went on Amazon.com I ended buying a 22inch Asius TV. When I recieved it, I noticed all the wiring hookups and lack of remote, Was momentarely confused until I read manual and realized it was a moneter not a TV. Was very dissapointed. Feel moniters shoud not be shown with TV's.
Summary: i have an Acer X163W and this blows it away!!! great price , great shipping. i still don't know what the green speaker wire is for. I have a Logitech Speaker System Z523 with Sub-woofer and my sound is fine .
Summary: While I prefer my 24inch Asus, this 22inch model has served my wife well enough over the past year. Considering it is paired with an ATI 5570 as opposed to my 5870 the lower resolution of the 22inch model serves to give the video card an easier time pushing higher quality details, and it's been an admirable pairing. Assuming another good price, I see no reason why I would not buy another Asus monitor.
Summary: What is there to say about this? I purchased a 3rd VW224U to set up an eyefinity display group. The monitor itself is far from the nicest I have ever seen - that distinction goes to IPS panels. However, for a 16:10 resolution (which I prefer to 16:9) inexpensive monitor with reasonably small bezels I am very happy with this product. Of the 3 I have, I have zero dead pixels (near as I can tell) and the colors between them is near spot on.
