Summary: This monitor is bad. I wrote a review previously when I first received the monitor and I was pretty upset. I got downvoted (people clicked no on 'is it helpful') to hell but what I said was accurate and still stands. When I got the monitor, it was clear from the get-go that the backlight was busted.
Pros: It's big?
Cons: Wobbles a lot Faulty backlight Two dead pixels Discoloration
Summary: ASUS customer support (whose process seems overly complex at first glance) will probably comment on this review offering help, but it will be pointless. After two DOA units and two weeks of my life with nothing to show for it, I've gone with a different manufacturer.
Pros: - The packaging was easy to take it out and put it back in again shortly thereafter. - Probably a great monitor if you get one that turns on.
Cons: The first one I received didn't power up, so I RMA'd it through Newegg. Sadly the second one I received also did not power up. (Even after trying known working power cables/outlets, nothing both times).
Pros: The box it came in has a nice carrying handle.
Cons: A dead pixel in the lower left part of the screen in a VERY noticeable place! Incredibly annoying considering this is supposed to be a high quality Asus product. Now it turns out I can't even return it for replacement because they consider less than three dead pixels acceptable. I expected more f...
Summary: The monitor itself is a good value if you get lucky, but you have to get lucky. Asus does not stand by their product, even brand new ones.
Pros: Good Cost, Good picture (if it works)
Cons: After about a month, a couple pixels died. This is my second of these monitors. Asus has categorically refused to do anything about it though the monitor is new. Apparently imperfectly functioning products are acceptable.
Cons: Confused me into buying it, because of it's tags as 120hz. For 30 dollars more I could have gotten the right one. Might be my fault for not realizing, but I might have noticed if they put the refresh rate in the specifications. I believe the google listing for this might have said 120hz, so maybe...
Pros: -bright white color -headphone jack for hdmi connection -no power brick
Cons: -gray reproduction is not so hot -depending on what profile is selected, gamma is too bright causing washed out colors or contrast is too high causing lighter shades of gray to be white -slight yellow tint on left side -slight clouding in center -light bleed on all edges -gamma shift despite view...
Summary: I would never recommend this monitor to anyone. Looks like I will have to send it back. Not at all pleasing.
Pros: Very few. I like where the buttons are. Its a nice size.
Cons: I have worked and worked on adjustments to this monitor to no avail. Everything seems really washed out and has a yellowish tone. No matter how hard I try I cannot get the yellow to go away, nor can I make a true looking black. All blacks just look dark gray. Text is really hard to read as well. ...
Summary: I bought two of these monitors brand new for a dual screen setup. One was beautiful, the other has a dull yellowish tint to it. I could not RMA to newegg because I had removed the UPC for a rebate. A chat session with ASUS and I was able to RMA the unit to them. Here's the problem.
Pros: The one that works has a beautiful image with great color and sharpness.
Cons: ASUS must have the worst customer support ever.
