Summary: I had an asus before that had to get sent back after a year because the picture went bad. They fixed it and sent it back and it just died again. It was only 4 years old and not overly used. I went back to another Asus because the price was right and I needed a new monitor. Picture is OK, not great, might be better with an HDMI cable which I don't have at the moment.
Summary: Read reviews of this monitor, said it was equal or better than the vs247h-p. But when I got it hooked up, everything had a slightly yellow tint to it no matter how much I adjusted the menu settings. Besides that, picture quality was decent but didn't look any better than my 2011 Insignia 22" LED. The std complaints about this monitor, the wobbly base, poor menus, I didn't think were actually that bad.
Excerpt: As the title says, the backlight bleed of this monitor is quite bad, and apparently it's normal in this monitor. If you can get over glowy, silvery blacks in the corners of an IPS monitor then this monitor is the one for you. It's cheap, Matte finish, and colors are great, just the backlight bleed is horrendous and very distracting for me.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Excerpt: I purchased this monitor to replace my 6 year old Dell E207WFP. The Dell still worked, but I wanted a little more real estate and a sharper and clearer display. The Asus had good reviews and a reasonable price with a $ rebate.Out of the box, the Asus was blazingly bright (too bright) and the colors vivid. It was very easy to setup and the panel itself was half the weight of my 20" Dell. The first thing that I noticed is that it is wobbly on the stand.
Pros: Bright, Lightweight, No Dead Pixels, No stuck pixels, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Cons: Hard to calibrate, Inaccurate Colors, Wobbly stand
Excerpt: I am using 3 of these monitors for graphic design, 3d modeling, video editing, and gaming on the side. The good: For the price these IPS monitors are great. The picture is good and it looks pretty good for whatever application I am using. The bad: I have noticed back light bleeding with each of them, especially when the screen is dark. I guess it was to be expected for the price.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Price, Sharp Image
Cons: Back light bleed, Inaccurate Colors, Poor Adjustability
