Summary: Absolutely love it. I have 2 of these monitors (Owned the first one for about 7 months now and just purchased a second) and the display is awesome. If there was a complaint it would be that the stand only allows you to tilt the screen. The height is fixed. Not a problem if you can get it the way you want it. Outside of that I have only praise for these monitors.
Summary: The monitor did arrive with one or two dark pixels which was a disappointment as I do a lot of photo editing and bad pixels make it more difficult. Maybe I have just been lucky, but this is the first of several digital monitors I have had which came with a bad pixel. It also does not come with a manual, just a very basic setup diagram in multiple languages, but no spec sheet, etc.
Summary: Overall I am very happy with the monitors. I just wish I didn't have to replace 2 out of the 3 that I have purchased to get non-defective products.
Pros: The monitor has a great picture and the thin bezel looks great in the multi-monitor setup I am using. The stand is awesome.
Cons: I got two of these for work a couple weeks ago and one of them arrived with a stuck pixel. After getting a replacment, everything was great. I decided to order one for my home as well. It arrived yesterday and it had a dead sub-pixel (blue). I am in the process of getting it replaced and hope that the replacement unit isn't defective as well.
Excerpt: I use this monitor as an extension to my laptop. I needed something that didn't have that washed out, filmed over, look to it. This display has impressed me for the price. Set up was easy, 5 minutes tops. It is large, and crisp. I would recommend to a friends vs spending $+ depending on your needs.
Summary: This monitor is perfect for what I need. I'm a gamer, and I also do a bit of programming, and this monitor is exactly what I need for both. It has great colors and great response time, but it can also go into portrait mode to display long lines of code while programming. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a great display at an unbeatable price.
Summary: Received on Friday, Saturday excited to open to check out my new thin bezel asus 27 inch monitor everything looks good no major damage to the box pull the monitor out of its wrapping set up the stand plug in all the connections press the power button then WOW the screen lights up displaying lines in multi colors and what appears to be a crack going across the left side of the screen but no damage to the outside if I didn't turn it on you could never tell there was a...
Pros: Looks good thin bezel Came with a lot of cables
Cons: DOA so of course I can't really comment on performance but the only con I had before was limited connections no DVI or 2 HDMI just one HDMI and one display the VGA is a joke
Summary: Consider the price is under $300 for a decent 27" monitor, I gave it 3 stars. The control buttons design is horrible, they are at the back and far apart, no manual. There is no "Auto adjust" setting and most of the manual adjustment features are not available like (V-size, H-size, V-position...etc). It has a speaker cable and volumn control but the monitor has no speaker. The only reason I pick this monitor is because I can adjust the height and turn side to side easily.
Avoid this monitor! Dead Pixels and Scratches. No Quality Control.

Summary: EDIT (UPDATED 6/2/2014) Pros - I absolutely love the design of this Asus monitor. The outer bezel is very thin and aesthetically pleasing. The stand that came with it is very sturdy although I immediately removed it to mount it on my monitor stand. Picture is awesome! CONS I ordered 2 of these monitors and both arrived with a single dead pixel. To troubleshoot to make sure the pixels were in fact dead and not stuck I ran UDpixel on the area for an hour, no luck.
