Summary: This was my first time buying a refurbished product, hearing positive things from co-workers. Didn't work out for me and I'll never buy refurb again. Saving $20-30 over new just isn't worth it.
Summary: Was going to triple with them; but no such luck...
Pros: Tiny bezel, lightweight fast refresh(75hz) and 1ms response time.
Cons: My first vn247 is from 2012, and as far as i can tell is either ips or the only one that was quality tested. The one just rmad had purple edge bleed to the po8nt where i could not ignore it. Every one i have tried has been 2014 manufactured date or more recnt, and none of them can be compared col...
Summary: QC on these refurbs really needs to be upped... and i HATE to process of doing RMAs... it is such a hassle when the product should have been working from the beginning. =/
Pros: It is a very good monitor that i purchassed so that i could run just an HDMI cable to the monitor and then output the audio channel from the hdmi (via the headphone port) to my stereo speakers.. which works VERY well! I am able to have a monitor/speaker and wireless keyboard and mouse in another ...
Cons: I recieved this refurbished monitor with a stuck pixel in the upper left middle of the screen... and it is bright red which stands out terribly as opposed to a black "dead" pixel...
Summary: Got it with no dead pixels, felt a little smaller than my 24 inch since it was sitting so low. On top of that the stand was huge, my keyboard was literally setting on top of it. Well, fired it up and it looked horrible.
Summary: Great monitors and perfect for multi display setups. Update- I enjoyed the monitors for the first 2 weeks until I started editing photos in Lightroom. Color reproduction is pretty terrible/inaccurate with saturated and nonadjustable blue/purples hues.
Dark spot near bottom right corner all six monitors
Mitchell Walls, Amazon
31 December 2014
Summary: I went through six of these monitors and all had the same issue. In the bottom right corner about 3 or 4 inches from the bezel I have a dark spot all 6 monitors had the same issue. I also had one monitor that had a dead pixel upon ordering. I've returned all six due to dissatisfaction.
Summary: If Asus would have put in the effort to truly refurbish these monitor instead of trying to make a quick buck it would have turned out better. I meen come on asus, only $30 off of a brand new one and it only made it 3 days? Poor effort.
Pros: The monitor looked amazing the first couple days Great color 24 inches 1 ms
Cons: The buttons on the back are horribly placed, they will strain your wrist while trying to set up the monitor. Looks horrible after 3 days, half the screen looks like someone mashed it.
Summary: Even though the description does not warn you that asus has low quality control and there is the possibility of your monitor having dead pixels, I still had to purchase an RMA and pay for shipping of a total $40 to send it back. Never buying from ASUS again.
Pros: Pros: slim bezel, acceptable color for a TN panel, and no external power brick.
Cons: Cons: Mine had 4 dead pixels and could not get them unstuck using a number of methods. 1ms had no effect and still had visible motion blur, and extremely narrow viewing angles which will be a given since it is a TN panel.
