Summary: I would recommend this to others, but an actuality, the monitor I am aiming to replace it with will be a 27" and looking forward to it.
Pros: I've enjoyed this monitor since 2010 and got a lot of gaming use out of it, as well as graphic design.
Cons: The monitor seems to have come to the end of it's life. First the buttons at the bottom went out [such as the one to change the screen theme---those don't work] and then for the past 4 months whenever the monitor reposts [loads a high graphic game at full screen, restarting the operating system, ...

Summary: I'm filling this review out now because I am finally looking to get a new monitor and because of this past experience I'm having a hard time deciding if I'd buy Asus again based on quality because they do seem to sell more affordable products.
Pros: Screen Size. No dead pixels. Decent price at the time.
Cons: This monitor died right around when the manufacturer warranty expired. It would have cost more to replace than just to buy new... It turned off about 1 second after I repeatedly tried turning it back on. I imagine it was the LCD's inverter or capacitors that went bad as others with the same sympt...

Pros: -full HD - Long lasting Bought this monitor in late 2008, and it's still alive and kicking. Has put up with moves, mechwarrior online and warcraft, movies and various games. Durable, full HD and was worth the price at the time. I paid well over 300$ for it at the time.. the Webcam or the speakers...
Summary: Try to find software for webcam! The webcam should work with normal software. I've gotten no help from ASUS. There download sites seem to always on the blink. Don't count on long term support of function for this monitor! Beware!
Summary: I purchased this monitor new 4 yrs ago during the course of a total system rebuild. Entire system was ASUS oriented (starting with motherboard) so I decided to stay with a ASUS monitor. I never power my system off. The monitor however does sleep.
Summary: I paid $219 for it then free shiping no tax cause im in texas and they are out of cali. It has given me great service I would defenity buy another Asus monitor based off this one
Pros: This monitor has been awsome baught in May of 09 and its still running great with out ever giving me trouble Its March of 2013 at this writting
Cons: The only thing I dont like is the base which has small groves in it in a circuler pattern like a old vynal record and they are hard to clean ( they catch a ton of dust ) its the only con and its not really that big of a deal I would not take away any eggs for that
Summary: I bought this monitor as a center monitor for a triple monitor setup but i bought it for the webcam for skype and such. it's not a bad camera but not a great one either. But i chose this monitor because of it's stats that gamers look for. the cam was a bonus.
Pros: Fast response. No blur. 1080p. Bright. Alot of color and definition.
Summary: Installing the LifeFrame software for the webcam was troublesome originally but that's been fixed since I purchased.
Pros: If you are looking for an above average monitor for gaming... look no further. I decided between this and a more expensive Samsung monitor when I purchased it. It's been over a year and a half, no dead pixels - no signs of discoloration around edges - the speakers were better than I expected (I d...
Cons: The base is cheap and sort've in the way if you're looking for an ergonomic setup - However that could be solved by mounting it on a wall or buying a 3rd party item.
