Worked great for about 16 months. And then started to become a hassle.

Summary: My wife bought this for me. The monitor was fine for the first 16 months. Then about 2 days ago the screen slowly began turning green...on one end. It's the LCD not the video card as it does it if the pc is off.
Summary: From reading the reviews I can see that I'm not the only one to have had this problem. It be great if I could get some kind of return or exchange for this. I do expect my monitors to last more than 10-11 months.
Pros: Looked good and clean when it worked.
Cons: Had the thing for just under a year then it suddenly had wavy green lines on the left side. Disconnected the screen from my computer then turned it on and the same wavy green lines where still there.
Pros: Very good value. When it works, the quality is great.
Cons: Quality is a mixed bag. I bought two of these monitors nine months ago. One is starting to die, with a wavy pink artifact on the right side of the screen. I tried multiple cables, ports (VGA and HDMI), computers, etc. it's very visible during start-up and any time there is a black background. A v...
Summary: I have been a bit lazy about going through the RMA process because of how annoying it can be. It would be nice to have a working version of this monitor though, because I love it otherwise.
Pros: This monitor is really great. Everything looks wonderful in 1080p and I like the size. Games look incredible when played on this screen, with the right graphics card.
Cons: The downside... After a few months I started getting a vertical green line down the center of the screen. It would go away after a few minutes, so I paid it no mind hoping it was a fluke. Unfortunately the line came back and stayed. It won't go away even when I unplug all of the outputs. I would ...
Summary: Wish all these company's would do Free returns and pay for everything, Like Microsoft does with its warranties, They paid for my Xbox to be shipped there and Back, Plus a bonus of Xbox live for the Inconvenience.
Pros: A good Monitor, Great as a Secondary now, Excellent size to Fit on a desk.
Cons: When I got it, I was a little disappointing that the sound didn't work, And then the costs to ship it back isn't worth it.
Summary: Honestly, the stuck pixel I could probably have lived with because it was near the bottom left and hard to notice. But the color reproduction on this monitor was simply unacceptable and virtually impossible to calibrate within acceptable limits.
Pros: Lots of real estate Full HD Lots of connection options
Cons: Stuck pixel Unacceptably poor color reproduction that couldn't be corrected to an acceptable level.
Great potential, but hampered by limited viewing angle

Summary: Put briefly, this is a great price for a monitor -- but you arguably get what you pay for. I have at least four LCD monitors of various major brands (Dell, Samsung, etc) that I still use. This ASUS has the most restrictive viewing angle I've seen since my laptop LCD in the early 1990s.
