Great while it lasted

Alexander Q., Newegg
2 February 2015
  • Pros: For the first year and a half of owning it this monitor was wonderful. Great colors, great response time.
  • Cons: In mid January of this year I started to get pink wavy lines on the right side of my monitor as other people have mentioned. Approximately 30% of my screen is now covered in pink waves all of the time.

Great color until it fades to black

Andrew K., Newegg
8 March 2014
  • Summary: The monitor actually just died.
  • Pros: It was great for while it lasted.
  • Cons: The stand. The monitor is starting to die after two years of light to moderate use. The back light is constantly flickering and has trouble turning on.

Good before it started having horizontal white lines

Guillaume V., Newegg
27 August 2013
  • Summary: Still wondering if I should contact Asus for a replacement... I hate RMA and from the reviews I have read I doubt their customer services will be helpful. *Will update my review once I have contacted them.
  • Pros: - Great price from Newegg. - Colors are not deep but for the price it was okay. - Works like a charm with an HDMI. - 1080P!
  • Cons: After 4 months, it started having horizontal white lines on the right side. The lines are not that bright but they are noticeable. This single issue = -4 eggs. When you pay for something, you want it to last more than 4 months.

Not worth it. Died in 1 year.

Anup S., Newegg
4 May 2013
  • Pros: Hardly see any pros if a product dies in just 50-100 switch on's
  • Cons: Died in just 1 year. I bought this on 3/14/2012 and it died today. This monitor was used just one a week. With such a little usage it should continue for long

Monitor died in less than 1 month

Fernando M., Newegg
27 March 2013
  • Summary: The monitor began to just dimly turn on instead of turning on completely. At first, this only happened when the computer was asleep. I researched the matter and tried every piece of advice, from getting new cables, to just powering off the computer when not in use, to updating my drivers in my...
  • Pros: When it's working,it's perfect for gaming, I managed to beat Tomb Raider on it and it looked gorgeous and better than my HP monitor. Monitor is cheap too,so that's a plus.
  • Cons: It lasted less than a month.

Stuck Pixel, Stuck losing money

Erik N., Newegg
17 March 2013
  • Summary: If there is only 1 or 2 dead/stuck pixels this meets or exceeds Asus quality control. I sent a RMA to Newegg for a replacment - for a price of course, $29.89. Recieved a refund and no replacement monitor because of limited inventory. Owning a defective monitor for 5 days @ a mere $6 a day. Cool.
  • Pros: Looked pretty nice, perfect size for my deskop, and HDMI connectivity
  • Cons: The very first second I turned the monitor on there is a stuck red pixel near the middle of the screne. Tried to ignore the stuck pixel and sure enough another stuck pixel popped up. Software and physical manipulation of the pixels did nothing.
