Summary: I bought this monitor for use as a multimedia / gaming peripheral for my laptop. The colors were flat which seemed to be a result of a poor quality screen (In other terms: no amount of time fidgeting with color settings would help with the color). Would not recommend, Asus refused to replace my monitor even after 3 weeks! It has a giant color bar on the right side rendering the whole thing useless. I came home and turned it on, and that was there.
Summary: Bought this monitor because it was cheap, 1080p, and would fit on my desk without looking ridiculous. Please note: I am using it for business, so the picture quality isn't that important to me. I do not watch movies or edit video or anything like that, simply use it for lots of workspace to run productivity software (MS Office mainly). It is great for this purpose and you will make your employees who are used to lower resolution very happy for a low price.
Summary: I feel as if i have stolen this monitor for the price i paid for it. ALOT bigger than i had imagined, screen is crisp clear. someone said in a review that the speakers didnt work with hdmi, but they do for me.
Summary: This monitor has lots of great reviews, so I expected to be very pleased by it, but it ended up disappointing me in several major ways. Short ending: I returned it, got a refurbished HP monitor instead, and have since been very happy. I have experience with OSX color calibration on many monitors, but this one just would not work. I tried it on two machines, using Lion and Snow Leopard, and connected by HDMI and by a DisplayPort->DVI adapter.
Summary: Great HD resolution. Only works correctly on VGA. Does not display post/boot while on HDMI mode. Inconvenient for a dual boot OS system. Sound did not work through HDMI either. Had a previous HD LCD everything worked through HDMI. With all of that said, everything works perfectly through VGA. Screen looks great.
Summary: This is an amazing monitor very bright I had to turn down the brightness but this is not a bad thing it says 21.5 inch but it's actually closer to 22 I've had a lot of monitors over the years and so far this is my favorite I did find the built-in speakers to be useless. They might be good for everyday computer use but if you use your system to do multimedia movies DVDs and Blu-ray you'll find them to be insufficient. But I had a good idea of that going and.
Summary: I ordered a new PC and this is the exact same monitor that would have came with it from the PC vendor at about $100 more than I purchased it from Amazon.com. Great looking monitor at a great price with full HD. Easy to set up and adjust and is Windows 7 compatible.
Summary: I purchased this monitor to use with my 2010 generation Mac Mini. I have had it connected via both HDMI and a mini display port to HDMI adapter. The picture quality is excellent, and the only drawback to the video quality is that the monitor is almost "too bright" for general computer use. I had to significantly turn down the brightness and other settings to try to match it to my second monitor that is attached to the Mini.
