Pros: This was a great monitor for the first few years I had it.
Cons: After 2 years of owning this monitor the menu buttons stopped responding. I have to unplug the monitor to shut it off. Also the brightness / color is off and I have no way to adjust it properly.I did try to adjust it in my Nividia control panel but I can't get it to look right.
Summary: For the price payed for this monitor, packaging it with only a vga cable is absolutely absurd. Its the first monitor I've bought in quite a while, and I didn't even think people used vga cables any more... The 3d doesn't work as I'm stuck on 60hz for some reason.
Summary: I wanted to love this monitor. I wanted to write a raving review for it. The 144hz refresh is amazing for 2D gaming. But the backlight. The backlight is the downfall of this monitor. So, when I first bought this monitor and set it up I noticed that the backlight bled around the edges.
Pros: -144hz Refresh rate is very nice, especially for 2D gaming. -27inch screen is perfect size for me -Colors aren't as bad as you would expect from a TN panel -I suppose 3D capability is nice, though I'm not really interested in that.
Cons: -Awkwardly positioned inputs on the back make it difficult to plug things in -Backlight can seem way too bright at times -Horrible, and I mean HORRIBLE backlight bleeding around the edges, even on my SECOND unit -Discoloration on the sides of the screen, again on the SECOND unit I was sent
Summary: I want to buy it, but I'm afraid to pay all that cash for it because I read a lot of reviews of black light bleed and dead pixel. If I get it and notice these issue, I'm going to be very tight!!
Summary: For the value of this monitor being close to 600 dollars, it is not acceptable to have this type of light bleed. On a solid black screen the light bleed goes around the entire bezel of the monitor.
Pros: 144hz refresh rate 27 inches 2ms response time 3d capable heavy duty dvi cable
Cons: Backlight bleed around the entire display, i hate to say it but black or dark screens look worse on this, than my old dynex TV. Position of dvi input, made it difficult for the included dvi cable to be plugged in.
Summary: Could be a great monitor if they fix their dead/stuck pixel problem.
Pros: 27" 2ms 144hz! Seems to be a great monitor. Monitor came in 2 days! Ordered it on a Sunday and received on that Tuesday. Good job there Read Cons!!
Cons: Seems to be an on-going problem with all of their monitors. Dead pixels on arrival. Arrived today which was actually a day early, AWESOME! Setup the monitor, looks GREAT! Playing for a little bit and then I noticed a white dot in the middle of the screen as soon as I was in the loading screen for...
Summary: if i knew it will need that ir emitter i would never buy this
Pros: 27" price apparently fine
Cons: it needs ir emitter to enable 3d where my old monitor ASUS VG23AH worked without any emitter and only with the asus provided 3d glasses. in the product page nowhere its says 3d vision kit required but it says sugested. after paying 400 couldnt watch 3d i have to spend 180 more???feeling like i th...
Summary: This was my first ASUS purchase, and I'm regretting it.
Pros: Very smooth picture, screen size is perfect. It has very vivid colors.
Cons: I purchased this monitor because of the multiple functions it had, as well as the HDMI capabilities. At first I thought it was working fine, but the second day of use I noticed the monitor buttons would not work. This means I could not change to 3D, or switch between VGA and HDMI. I'm currently g...
