Summary: I work in visual graphics and this monitor is part of my editing suite. I love that I can watch 3D content with the same glasses you are given at the movie theaters. Contrast is great and so far no complaints.
Excellent 2D/3D monitor, with some minor 3D usability issues.

Summary: Bought this flat screen last week, primarily as main computer display (for a Mac Pro) and for viewing my 3D photos, most of which come from a Fuji W3. It's replacing an Apple cinema display. Fit and finish is very good, particularly in a $200 display, although it doesn't touch Apple's aluminum case. The color depth and black levels are excellent, and there is excellent off-axis contrast and color rendition.
Summary: It's a good monitor, but I would not buy it if you are interested in the 3D aspect of it. It is not compatible with Nvidia 3D, which is a big selling point that they missed out on with this monitor. The larger 27 inch Asus monitor is not only compatible with Nvidia 3D, but comes with it pre-packaged. The 27 inch one is more expensive but well worth the cost in my opinion.
Summary: I bought this monitor to replace an aging lcd and to try out the 3D effect. As a monitor it works flawlessly. 3D mode is also nice- I have tried true 3D movies as well and simulated 3D. The simulated 3D is OK, not spectacular, but a welcome feature. One minor issue involves the menu system.
Great IPS Monitor, 3D can be tunned to look better.

Summary: I chose this monitor mostly because it is an IPS display. The viewing angles are great and the color reproduction is better than I expected. I was skeptical about the passive 3D technology this monitor offers. Right out of the box, using the 2D/3D conversion button, 3D isn't great, which is what you'll read in many other reviews. It just isn't convincing.
Summary: The case and monitor itself are really big BTW. I have been using it for 1 month. Nice design and easy setup, very bright and clear with 2D mode, perfect performance in 2D. But in not so good in 3D mode, first you need to change the angle of the screen or you'll get double images, and the angle is depends on your seat hight and the distance to your eyes.Second, the glasses looks cheap, I can easliy take out the plastic glass, but the clip-on glass is a nice design though I...
Summary: 2D performance is excellent, colours are bright and true. 3D performance is also excellent, provided you sit far enough away from the screen (60cm+). Works great with the RealD glasses I lifted from the local cinema. With the right settings, the monitor runs happily at 72Hz. I haven't used it for gaming, but for movies (both HSBS and OU), the results are impressive, way better than the active 3D displays I've played with, and with no headaches!
