Summary: I recieved two monitors, the first had a horrendous backlight bleed, and the second had a faulty connection where the monitor would randomly power off. Returned and got a viewsonic with zero problems.
Summary: I'll preface this by saying that I'm not into 3D at all. I've always thought it was gimmicky and not very well executed. That being said, I still thought it would be cool to play Mass Effect 3 in 3D. Without a doubt...it's VERY cool. It brings a whole new dimension to gaming. Although I feel like I'm on drugs after playing for several hours straight without looking away from the monitor. This monitor in particular though...seems like you get what you pay for.
Summary: PROS: IPS panel has the usual wide viewing angle and color reproduction Bright Display Good stand Easy and useful OSD Passive 3d is flicker-free 3D movies look excellent CONS: The polarization filter is very visible at any normal viewing distance and is distracting Tried for several hours to find the right height/distance/angle for 3D Gaming, never got it without crosstalk. Ended up returning it and just getting a 2d monitor for now. 3D is still young.
Summary: The monitor is good for colour and contrast but for 3D you might want to look elsewhere. You can make it work though if you read some tutorials on the web, but still, 3D isn't that good. You can't watch 3D from sitting normal distance away from the monitor. So you can't play 3D games, but I think that's the case with any passive 3D monitor. There is some light bleed in the lower left corner in the dark.
Summary: Vorabinfo: * bin beruflich im TV-Medienbereich tätig! TOP!
