Looks Great!

Beth, Staples
30 November 2014
  • Excerpt: I ordered this monitor for my boyfriend as an anniversary gift. It only took about three day to ship to my local staples store. IT IS AWESOME.The box is enormous, but it is a 27'' monitor. He had a lot of fun setting it up. It does not come with a HDMI to HDMI cable but it does come with: VGA cableAudio cablePower cordQuick start guideHDMI-to-DVI cableThe first thing you want to do is put up the whitest screen possible to check all of the pixels.

ASUS 27 inch LED Monitor - not that great

Ramin A., Amazon
15 November 2014
  • Summary: Ordered a couple of these and both have burnt out pixels in less than a year (I use them all day). Have used ASUS motherboards for years and they are reliable (even though not as well as supported as some more famous brands). However, ASUS monitors obviously are not that great (for example, my DELL 24" HD monitors (2407) are still kicking for 10 years and no burnt pixels yet with everyday use).

Besides this ridiculous flaw the screen itself is very wide and pleasing to the eyes with excellent viewing angles

Earle the Pearl, Amazon
26 October 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this monitor in September of '13 and about 3 months ago the monitor buttons DO NOT WORK. The only function of the buttons at this point is when the monitor is off I can press 'Menu' to turn the monitor. Mind you the 'Power' button does NOT turn the monitor on. I cannot switch inputs or access the monitor's GUI any longer. Any contact with ASUS' customer service has led me into a brick wall of frustration of trying to just explain what is and is not working.

I am satisfied with the product

JOE HOLMES, Amazon
9 October 2014
  • Summary: I am satisfied with the product. It is performing satisfactorily. I have not observed anything which would set it apart from any other such product with the same technical and size specifications. My exception with the purchase has to do with the offered selling price. The product was offered with a $20.00 rebate to be honored by ASUS.

  • Summary: couldn't be happier. replaced a 19" Samsung that was a few years old. The image quality is superb, the size is perfect, and the addition of speakers was an interesting extra that I didn't notice in the product description. The sound quality isn't the best, but they are good enough when I wasn't expecting them to begin with.

Dead pixels after one month

Chris Galbraith, Amazon
6 October 2014
  • Summary: First review here. I bought this monitor for use with a MacBook Pro as a second display. The monitor works great and has all of the features I was looking for (PIP, multiple inputs, etc.). However, a month after use I noticed a dead pixel in the center of the screen. I have been on hold with ASUS customer support about the issue for over 30 minutes with no end in sight. This is unacceptable for a $240 monitor.
