Summary: Ordered a couple of these and both have burnt out pixels in less than a year (I use them all day). Have used ASUS motherboards for years and they are reliable (even though not as well as supported as some more famous brands). However, ASUS monitors obviously are not that great (for example, my DELL 24" HD monitors (2407) are still kicking for 10 years and no burnt pixels yet with everyday use).
Besides this ridiculous flaw the screen itself is very wide and pleasing to the eyes with excellent viewing angles

Summary: I purchased this monitor in September of '13 and about 3 months ago the monitor buttons DO NOT WORK. The only function of the buttons at this point is when the monitor is off I can press 'Menu' to turn the monitor. Mind you the 'Power' button does NOT turn the monitor on. I cannot switch inputs or access the monitor's GUI any longer. Any contact with ASUS' customer service has led me into a brick wall of frustration of trying to just explain what is and is not working.

Summary: couldn't be happier. replaced a 19" Samsung that was a few years old. The image quality is superb, the size is perfect, and the addition of speakers was an interesting extra that I didn't notice in the product description. The sound quality isn't the best, but they are good enough when I wasn't expecting them to begin with.
Summary: I am satisfied with the product. It is performing satisfactorily. I have not observed anything which would set it apart from any other such product with the same technical and size specifications. My exception with the purchase has to do with the offered selling price. The product was offered with a $20.00 rebate to be honored by ASUS.
Summary: First review here. I bought this monitor for use with a MacBook Pro as a second display. The monitor works great and has all of the features I was looking for (PIP, multiple inputs, etc.). However, a month after use I noticed a dead pixel in the center of the screen. I have been on hold with ASUS customer support about the issue for over 30 minutes with no end in sight. This is unacceptable for a $240 monitor.
Summary: The display looks fine. The PIP works fine. My only real complaint is that the monitor auto switches to whatever active video feed is available. More specifically, i have a media system hooked up to the VGA input and my wife's computer hooked up to the HDMI. When she shuts down her system and the media system is still running, the monitor automatically switches the main (big display) from her system to the media system.

Summary: I very rarely write reviews, but I had to for these monitors. I bought two of these, and two of the 24" model. All four monitors have been amazing. I have the 27's running off of a Macbook pro, one 24" on a windows desktop, and the other 24" on xbox 360/dvd player/ satellite box. They get used 8-12 hours a day, and have been in service for 4-5 months. They have all held up really well, and I would not hesitate to purchase them again.
