Summary: Asus has done itself fine with it's range of monitors, they were a natural choice given the price and perceived quality. The products have lived up to their specifications, are quality built with no feeling of "this shall break soon" when assembling or adjusting. Down-right portable if you cover the screen with something firm.
Summary: This is the few monitors that still has CCFL backlight. CCFL backlight usually has better colar gamut than LED. VE276Q has about 88.7% sRGB. Other cheap LED monitor usually has color gamut less than 85%. (Notebook monitors which use LED backlight usually have ~60% sRGB only.) The next version of this monitor is VE278Q. Though it use LED backlight, it has 92% sRGB. It should be as good as this one.
Summary: I love this monitor, I purchased this to have a matching set with my other one. i use it for gaming primarily, have had no problems with either of them. I honestly haven't used the speakers in them, they are great even without them.
Summary: I used it for design and its a lot of real estate for the price. The color quality is excellent as well. I used it with Adobe CS6 and Final Cut. I dont like the glossy screen of Apple. So the matte look worked for me no reflections.
Summary: This monitor has performed perfectly. I was trying to do artwork on my laptop with a Wacom tablet and was shocked by the lack of detail of my drawings when I plugged this monitor in. Now I can sit back in the recliner and draw with ease... in great detail. The colors are consistant and true. I shopped around a lot. This is a great product for a low price.
