Summary: I'm having very few problems with this ASUS. It looks great and works very well. Pros: All the inputs work well; the display is clear, crisp, and bright; and the settings allow for a broad array of preferences (color, contrast, gamma, brightness, etc.) The monitor as a whole looks clean and sharp on my desk, doesn't weigh too much, and sits stably atop its well-proportioned round foot.
Summary: Bought this monitor to sit next to my 28 inch HannsG, it has good color and brightness. I was disappointed with a stuck red pixel on the far right/center of the screen but its only noticeable on a full black wallpaper / dark movie.
Summary: I have owned this monitor VE258 for 2 years now and it has been PERFECT for my needs. I have a PC hooked up via DVI & a Xbox360 (now XboxOne) hooked up via HDMI. I use this for a lot of FPS games ike BF3/4 or Ghosts and it is PERFECT. This is a great gaming monitor. I am in the process of ordering the newer 27 inch and retiring this to PC only mainly because I want something slightly bigger for my XboxOne that would be strictly for gaming.
Summary: I replaced a new Samsung with this Asus monitor. I had a functionality issue with the Samsung which is generally very good. I am extremely happy with the Asus. Picture is extremely good and the size is great with a small footprint. The speakers are okay; not better but I wasn't looking for super sound; just reasonable function. You can always add externals to suit your needs. Overall, terrific and easy to recommend.
Summary: Really great Asus monitor for the price. Have been converting everyone at our office to dual monitor setups. It is great for productivity! I hooked two of them up in a dual monitor setup using a Dell Optiplex 7010. B00B4E1W3A The 7010 desktop comes with VGA and two Display port outputs. Three monitors connected with no issue on Windows 7 however I am sticking with the two ASUS monitors as they are more than enough for day-to-day working.
Summary: One stuck pixel (green) near the bottom center of the screen (often hidden by the taskbar). Product still gets five stars because the color quality blows away my other two ASUS monitors, which can't even display a decent white after only a year of use. I'm considering buying two more of these, but am uncertain if all three will fit on my triple monitor stand.
Summary: Asus VE258Q 25" full HD Monitor with Intregated Speakers, Saw it, Wanted it, Bought it. Wanted something to augment my 19 inch HPw1907 monitor that still works great even though it is over six years old. It works great but, but not my eyes and was getting tired of squinting. After searching all over for a monitor that would help out I found the ASUS VE258Q. It has made a world of difference on my reading since I can really expand the size of the screen.
Summary: I'd give this a 4.5 if I could. I bought this a couple weeks ago and I haven't had any problems yet. It worked right out of the box, and was very easy to set up. I don't notice the stand being shaky, nor do I have a problem with blurry text as some have stated. The preset contrast and brightness were a bit high, and so are most the other presets it comes with. This is just a nitpick though, it's easy enough to just turn one or both down to suit your liking.
