Summary: Four stars only because while this monitor works beautifully for a very reasonable price, after I installed it, it refused to work at all until I disconnected the HDMI cable from my NVIDIA add on to my TV. I called Asus (Asus customer service speaks American English! HOORAH) and he fiddled with some drivers (deleted and I think added) without positive result. We closed the conversation by playing the blame game; Dell, NVIDIA's or someone else un-named.
Summary: This is the first time that I'm writing a review. I'm really disappointed by the poor quality display of this monitor. The colors and contrast of my old Asus monitor (ASUS VW195N) that I bought 5 years ago are better than this monitor. For the record, I put the two monitors side by side and ask two other persons to decide which display quality they preferred. The 5 years old Asus VW195N won (everyone chose it).
Summary: As always, Amazon was eager to deliver this monitor to my door. This is a great monitor, I initially set out to purchase a 27" BenQ but I happened to stumble on this one. Though it's only a 24", I couldn't beat the price point. Pros - The display is very bright, had to turn brightness down. Even in a room that gets a lot of natural light.
Excerpt: I bought this monitor because of the built in speakers. Although the sound isn't so great, the picture well makes up for that. The images are sharp and I can see every detail. I've been playing PC games for a while and after buying this monitor, I have noticed a significant difference in the quality of games that I play. When editing in programs like Premiere or Photoshop, I can see small details that I didn't see on my old monitor.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Summary: I really LOVE this monitor! The colors are BOLD and the screen is plenty big enough for my 53 year old eyeballs. BUT... it is LOUD. As in VERY bright. I haven't messed with the monitors settings much because it doesn't bother me as much as it might bother others who sit directly on top of it. Mine sits on the corner of a 6 foot training table and I am usually at least 4 feet away from it. I have turned down my brightness a little bit within Windows.
Summary: This was a pretty good monitor out of the box, and the speakers were useless like most people say, and it gave me about 3 months of satisfying use. I even gave it a four star review. But I think I've just changed my mind. When I first got the monitor it was hard to get the color scheme right but I figured I could tolerate a unusually bright picture if I was getting 24 inches of 1080p picture, right?
Summary: I got my first monitor in summer of 2012 and still works perfectly, got my other two as I got more into PC gaming and Video Editing. Now nearly 2 years later there are no dead pixels and the monitor still works fine. Leave it to Asus to make another amazing product! As a student in Video production. This was a great way for me to get as much work space as I needed on my screens and still not destroy my bank.
