Summary: I ordered these monitors because they have the ability to be mounted on a VESA bracket - i had several new flat panel monitors that didn't and I found that the ones sold at big box stores. (at least when i visited) do not as well - ASUS to the rescue...
Summary: I'm a software developer, which means I need a screen I can stare at for hours and not go insane. I tried using HD TVs as monitors but found most to be either dim or fuzzy. I settled on this Asus monitor because I generally like their products and this monitor has both a VESA mount and HDMI input in addition to VGA and DVI. The monitor is well-packed and setup is easy. The unit was cosmetically flawless.
Summary: Good Stuff, These and a perfect inexpensive while delivering high quality 1080 solution. We use the as multi displeys, one of our workstaions use six of these when have two customer sessions on each screen. Works great with their slim borders that make multi monters flawless.
Summary: Four stars only because while this monitor works beautifully for a very reasonable price, after I installed it, it refused to work at all until I disconnected the HDMI cable from my NVIDIA add on to my TV. I called Asus (Asus customer service speaks American English! HOORAH) and he fiddled with some drivers (deleted and I think added) without positive result. We closed the conversation by playing the blame game; Dell, NVIDIA's or someone else un-named.
Summary: This is the first time that I'm writing a review. I'm really disappointed by the poor quality display of this monitor. The colors and contrast of my old Asus monitor (ASUS VW195N) that I bought 5 years ago are better than this monitor. For the record, I put the two monitors side by side and ask two other persons to decide which display quality they preferred. The 5 years old Asus VW195N won (everyone chose it).
Summary: As always, Amazon was eager to deliver this monitor to my door. This is a great monitor, I initially set out to purchase a 27" BenQ but I happened to stumble on this one. Though it's only a 24", I couldn't beat the price point. Pros - The display is very bright, had to turn brightness down. Even in a room that gets a lot of natural light.
Excerpt: I bought this monitor because of the built in speakers. Although the sound isn't so great, the picture well makes up for that. The images are sharp and I can see every detail. I've been playing PC games for a while and after buying this monitor, I have noticed a significant difference in the quality of games that I play. When editing in programs like Premiere or Photoshop, I can see small details that I didn't see on my old monitor.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Summary: I really LOVE this monitor! The colors are BOLD and the screen is plenty big enough for my 53 year old eyeballs. BUT... it is LOUD. As in VERY bright. I haven't messed with the monitors settings much because it doesn't bother me as much as it might bother others who sit directly on top of it. Mine sits on the corner of a 6 foot training table and I am usually at least 4 feet away from it. I have turned down my brightness a little bit within Windows.
