Nice screen, irritating plastic

MC, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I use this screen on a home computer set up for internet use, word processing, Netflix/YouTube/DVD's, and non-pro photo editing. Works fine for all of those things. One somewhat significant complaint- I really dont like the plastic on this monitor. The glossy finish shows dust. Really. Really.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors

Visuals good, audio, not so good1

  • Excerpt: The monitor is very bright and easy to read. Hooking it up was not a problem. The problem is that the speakers are so low that they are really not very useful. I have written emails to the tech support people and received instructions on how to improve this.

  • Summary: So, i got my monitor on time. which was nice, didn't know if i could trust a large item not getting lost or stolen. Since it was my first big item purchase. Anyways, the outer box got rapped in shiping, and was POORLY taped and looked like someone got inside.

  • Excerpt: This monitor is not very forgiving with colors and the controls are difficult but for the price you get what you pay for. Speakers are worthless.
  • Cons: Difficult to Navigate

User Review

  • Summary: Great monitor for the average user but if you're picky about small things in general I would avoid buying this monitor as I think the con mentioned above will be more annoying than it's worth.
  • Pros: Great vivid and bright colors with great light and dark contrast. OSD options were basic but covered all the basis and the multiple input selection is great for people who use the monitor for two different units or consoles.
  • Cons: Has a strange dithering effect due to the TN panels used that cause moving objects such as movies, games, and even moving windows to have a cross-hatching screen door kind of effect on it.

  • Excerpt: The Asus VE228H 21.5" Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor so far appears to be a very nice product. The picture resolution appears good. However, when I viewed a film over NetFlix I was disappointed that the picture does not occupy the whole screen which is not so large to begin with, but is rather,...

Great size for the price

  • Excerpt: I use it a a monitor for my 13.3" MacBook Pro Notebook Compute. Can't seem to get the color as good as the Mac but for the price it is still good. Very low profile in physical depth and the stand is perfect for fitting my closed MacBook under it.
  • Pros: Lightweight, Price, SIZE
  • Cons: Inaccurate Colors

1920x1080 resolution, has HDMI port

Andre, Amazon

  • Summary: Affordable monitor, with some merits. Has easily discovered weaknesses too. Perfect for this: needs lots of screen estate pixel wise, for instance working with text editing, computer programming, needs dual monitors without breaking the bank.

Worked Great for 1 night

Truth Be Told, Amazon
11 February 2012
  • Summary: I bought this monitor to use for my desktop and for my ps3. The monitor worked great for 8 hours. My ps3 and hd content on my pc looked great on the monitor. There was no motion blur and lag on the ps3 and no glare from light on the screen.

Nice digital monitor

  • Excerpt: My 13" notebook screen is hard on my eyes and I need extra screen real estate. I don't have a lot of room so opted for the 21.5" rather than the 23". One of my laptops has only VGA output and the VE228H flickers - harder to tell when white background of most browsers/applications.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sharp HDMI image
  • Cons: Flickers in VGA, Poor Adjustability
