Summary: Works great. Very pleased with it. At first I thought It had very weak speakers until I discovered that it has a volume control on the right-hand bottom of the unit. It was turned to about half volume. If you don't have this volume turned up as well as the volume control on your windows it will sound very weak.
Summary: Nice size and nice box, after that, it is terrible. The monitor adjustment directions come in a zillion languages and none of them are helpful. They took something that is very simple on every other brand and made it impossible to navigate easily thru the various adjustment settings. The maximum volume setting is also way too low. I would never buy this brand again.
Summary: I bought this and a Samsung T24C550ND 24-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor HDTV within two weeks of each other. They both have built in speakers. The Samsung is larger (24" vs. the Asus 22") and can be used as a TV or a stand alone media player. The sound volume of the two units is striking. The Asus is just audible for enjoying music sitting 12 inches away from the monitor in a quiet room with the monitor volume at 100% and the music player program volume at 100%.
Summary: Bought one last year for work. Couldn't get the HDMI port to work. We returned it and asked for an exchange. The 2nd one came in, still said no signal after we plugged in the cable. Since we really need it, we twisted and jiggled and finally, it came to live! Since then, we had no trouble using it. So when it comes to time to replace another monitor in the office, we went ahead bought another Asus with HDMI port. Received it yesterday, SAME PROBLEM!!
Rich audio... no, it's not rich, it's downright terrible

Summary: The Amazon sales page claims "Built-in stereo speakers for rich audio quality while saving space" Sorry ASUS, you need to be honest and truthful with your advertising claims. You are well aware the speakers on this monitor are absolutely horrid. My cell phone has louder speakers than this monitor. In fact, I question whether they are actually 1 watt speakers. I've learned my lesson, guys. I hope you do, too.
Summary: I do not know if Asus or the company Asus used to send the rebate money played SCAM game or not? Did not honor the rebate as Asus said so, called the company who handles the rebate, told need Amazon Invoice in order to get the rebate. I even yelled the customer service who handled rebate, I simply gave it up after few attempts. So, be careful when buying a product and told will get rebate, but never honored.
Summary: pros: cheap (though not anymore) mediocre resolution for price (though not anymore) cons: Horrible blue/gray backlight leakage when the screen is "black", especially around the edges, but as far as 1/3 of the way around the edges. No displayport (not deducting stars for that one).
Summary: I've had the display hooked up for exactly 14 days when it quit working. Screen says "No HDMI connection" - the display's menu button will not work. Called The PC Doctor and after various diagnostics and hooking up the old display (which works fine) he gave me the bad news - my new display is bad. I called ASUS Customer Service and was told that my only options are to send it in for repair or get a refurbished replacement. Outrageous! This is a new monitor.
Summary: Surprised by so many rave reviews. I purchased because I wanted decent monitor to set up with secondary PC; the built-in speakers along with all the raves cemented my choice. I say look elsewhere and find yet a better price for a better monitor. (Buy speakers separately if needed.) The build is very cheap & flimsy - the sound quality horrific (low, weak & 'tinny') - picture quality just OK with various modes none-of-which look good to me - the controls difficult to use.
