Summary: I bought this monitor because my father had one and, when I used his computer, I really fell in love with it. Now that I have one of my own, I am very happy. It it very reasonably priced and is bright, clear and it looks and works great! If I needed another, I'd buy this again.
Summary: I have used acer 17 inch lcd, hp lcd 19 inch and this one. this is a nice, sharp monitor, basically same quality as the others. About sound, it has very dimm volume. Well you can listen if you are about a meter away from the monitor, but I did not buy this for the speaker system. As a monitor it is a very good one.

Summary: Plugged it in using the included dvi cable. The monitor was detected by the video card. Selected 1600x900 and started using the monitor. No dead pixels. Spent some time adjusting brightness and contrast and flipping through the various color modes. Button operation and the menu are not particularly obvious but you can read the manual(such as it is) and get things adjusted to your liking.
Summary: I bought this monitor from Amazon themselves. The monitor was packaged very well (doubled boxed); the box showed no signs of shipping damaged, so if you plan on buying it form them, don't hesitate, they do a very good job packaging items. PROS: - Price - Widescreen (16:9) - Packaging includes a DVI & VGA cable (no point in using VGA, so just toss that aside).
