Excerpt: Pro; I wanted a 4:3 ratio monitor with built-in speakers. Asus VB198T-P 19 LED LCD Monitor fit the requirement. CONN; Not able to balance color to match printed color reference and minimal adjustment for tilt front to back ... must use prop under stand to get the right angle for proper viewing.
Excerpt: I'm using this monitor as a picture frame for our slides powered by an Asus EEE-Box. It is a replacement for an older 17" LCD monitor that was having problems with its switch and had a bad angle of view. This monitor now is every bit as bright as our 37" LCD TV and visible from a wider range of angles than the older monitor. The slides now are much brighter and more vivid than before.
Pros: Adjustable, Easy To Set Up, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
Summary: Colors seem vibrant, using the DVI connection. Comes with all cables, including audio. Direct AC hookup - no external brick, is nice. If you don't have room for a wide screen monitor, this seems like a good choice. Haven't tried the audio, I'm sure it's not high fidelity, but nice to have for basic audio if you don't want the clutter or cost of separate speakers. Only had for a few days, but so far, so good.
Summary: Beautiful vivid color & great detail, I needed a smaller monitor to fit in my roll top computer desk, and this one fit the bill, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the color & the crisp bright detail, pretty happy about this purchase, would buy this one again
Summary: I had an old, square monitor as a second monitor, suspended on an extendable arm that I quite liked that came in handy for using Word or browsing the web while playing a video game on the other monitor. When it unexpectedly died, I discovered that very, very few monitors are now made that aren't widescreen. I don't have anything against widescreens - my main monitor is a 25" widescreen - but a second widescreen monitor simply wasn't going to fit my existing setup.
