Summary: Can't beat this for use with a display port mini-computer that is mounted to the back of the monitor or on a swing arm. DVI is less to run with a converter cable than VGA which is on most smaller monitors.
Pros: Has a DVI interface! Sharp picture when you need a smaller monitor to mount on an arm for a workstation.
Summary: Used this monitor as a 3rd monitor to compliment 2 other 17" (square) monitors for my laptop. Is bright, sturdy, good color next to the other monitors. I use it for work, so, can't vouch for multimedia really. If you need this type of monitor, non-wide screen, this is a great pick.
Summary: 17" Lcd's are so overpriced, for the same amount or less I could have gotten a 20" or 21". But I'm using it in portrait orientation next to a 24" in landscape and 17" fits almost perfectly like that where a 21" would rise several inches above my main monitor.
Pros: Bright, good color, love Asus, the preset color mode button is pretty cool.
